I think Maeve gets her powers back. They’ve already established it’s possible with a single shot of V. They’re gonna need her.
I tend to agree. Homelander will try to kill her.

Like what are you even on about? A character can’t develop without there being some kind of hidden political message? Just because the character MM is black doesn’t mean every heart felt convo with his daughter was purposely put in the show by the writers to get a point across
Let me also just add that I am a conservative. You’re grasping at straws man.

First reaction:
Some good tie-ups, but overall seemed like a huge waste. Soldier Boy wasn’t a hero, wasn’t good just another element of chaos, but a means to an end, and attacking him only prevented that end. Seems kinda pointless and stupid. They’re not much better off than before, maybe worse. Still good viewing.

Noticing that the temp V tends to give people the supe powers similar to the supe they hate?
Because of Butcher? That’s only one example tho
We've only had a couple examples though. Hughes was originally inspired by hatred of A train. Teleportation is similar to the super speed in functionality. Butcher is damn near a clone of Homelander.
It would be both fitting and good storytelling for MM to get the power to neutralize his antagonist (and if done in front of his daughter put him in an ethical dilemma).

And Ryan is the perfect example of the inherit evilness of white males. Maeve was the noble and suffering LBGT member. M.M moment with his daughter show the inherit goodness of people of color. And Hughie a straight white male is now no longer afraid of strong women being in charged.
I see what you’re doing here and it is accurate. We’ve tried so hard to ignore the politics in the show but they just keep ramming it down our throats.

The only one I really see in that quote is Hughie and maybe somewhat Ryan.. Hughie is just a gigantic pussy and the Ryan thing also plays on with great power comes some really high odds you’ll be a slimy count so meh. The MM one is absolutely hilariously dumb to point out tho.

Ostrich has head in sand. They hate you because of your gender(whatever that means anymore, cisgender?), skin tone. But I digress.

I can see how that would actually be really good to see. I could also see his daughter cheering about it like her step dad (i think that was him at the end cheering??)

The funniest part about this is I typically would agree with them. Most shows/movies/anythinghollywood shove agendas down our throats constantly. But this show couldn’t be further from that just because a gay character or a black character or a white character for that matter goes through character development doesn’t mean the writers are shoving agendas down our throat. I mean frick the only gay character has a sex scene with a dude. If this was about agendas would that happen? frick no
For the most part it has all in all been extremely balanced.

The show takes shots at everyone, sure its political but it hits all sides.

I think Starlight having a huge DBZ charge moment only for it to do next to nothing to SB sorta confirms they don’t care about agendas.

The shows political messaging is so over the top that it feels like it was written by people who think the proud boys are around every corner waiting to strike. The “both sides” stuff comes from some sort of willful ignorance by conservatives watching the show. They go after corporations who hijack leftist causes, not the worth of the causes and beliefs themselves. I’m conservative and still enjoy the show knowing this. I just don’t like the obvious point the show is trying to make, which is a caricature of the right-wing that many on the coasts believe is the main-stream Republican Party.
The soy boy superhero lover being some idiotic representation of a Trump supporter approaches gaslighting levels though
ETA: People will argue that seeing similarities between Homelander and Trumpism should tell a person that the right-wing is wrong. But I see most of the similarities in how Trumpism is viewed by the writers rather than the man or movement itself. I do think a lot of it is bully-pulpit and bad faith but it’s idiotic to say there’s no point trying to be made for one side and against the other. Either way, kinda weak ending after how awesome herogasm was.

Exactly. Like every lesbian in America should be throwing a fit about Maeve if this is about Agendas.

Maeve hung in there with Homelander much better than I expected.
Hope we see Soldier Boy again at some point, Jensen was really good in that role.

I don't know how many more seasons they have of this show. I'm guessing two seasons based on current arcs. There is only two main big bads left... Head Popper and Homelander.
I'm guessing next season is about Head Popper and Homelanders descent into public violent megalomania. Final season will be the end of Homelander and his son.
Other than that, Hughie is the Mike of Stranger Things. Kind of useless 97% of the time.
Show is political but I feel it takes shots at everyone equally to some degree. Its kind of a shotgun blast across the spectrum.
Noir was interesting but again, kind of useless. Literally a Super Straw Man. He barely communicated anything. Just a sounding board for Homelander.
Glad to see they didn't hype Starlight in the end. All her crap just dazed SB, the way it should have.
Overall, its very well written. I'm just concerned the next season will be them plodding around for 7 episodes and then a mild segue to next season.
But hey, I suppose you could say that about this season after last season and I don't feel it turned out that way.
