And the “You idiot. Why did you pull out a gun” at Randy line was eye roll worthy. Like it’s unreasonable for a person to pull out a gun when 3 strangers approaching him on road, trying to take his car. He doesn’t know them or what they want or capable of.
Yep. I think the more common sense reaction from the guy would’ve been to try to jump back in the car and drive away.

I didn’t articulate my thought well. It seemed that releasing the compound V story WAS going to be the overarching quest of the season Bc it WOULD bring about the downfall of Vaught. The characters all assumed it would and for one episode the ramifications seemed like a big deal to Vaught. And then poof, the story went away and Vaught doesn’t seem damaged and the Boys are now just randomly trying to find dirt on random supes with no real idea of how they’re going to accomplish anything. So the Boy’s antics are entertaining but have no focus. They’re just a few dudes who pose no real threat to Vaught or any Supe. It makes for fun episodes but sometimes I find myself wondering why they don’t just go home? Mothers Milk at least still has a home he wants to return to. Since it also doesn’t seem like they’re still wanted by law enforcement and Vaught has backed off of them. I mean they go out in public all the time with seemingly little fear of being arrested.

Well, there's this whole publicly wanted by the government thing that probably is a smidge of a hang up. Especially now that their one safe contact in the CIA is mush.

Randy? Was wondering where I knew that guy from.
Come on though. This is a world full of superpowered individuals. You wanna play the numbers game of you just pulled a gun on a supe or a super terrorist?
Even then, you’re pulling a gun on people who stumbled out of the woods with a massive torso injury and a guy looking like Butcher. And you pull a gun like some Wild West badass looking to defend his car?
Not a smart play. So yea. Idiot.

I think it just wasn't a well developed scene. The goal of the scene was not just to save Huey, but to have Starlight value Huey's life more than that of a random stranger. It's not worth nitpicking in what was otherwise an awesome episode, but they could have come up with something better.

But as I said, the whole publicly wanted thing lasted for an episode. The Boys are constantly out and about in public, in the city etc seemingly without any fear of being noticed.

They cut a deal with Edgar. I think the bigger inconsistency is Starlight is both GPS chipped and famous yet she meets up with Huey in public all the time. Even if you assume the GPS is for emergency use by Vought, we know they have teams of people monitoring social media 24/7. There wasn’t a single person that saw her with Huey on the street and posted a picture? At the very least it seems like something Ashley would know about.

They took the GPS out of her.
But remember, Translucent’s in season one wasn’t pinpoint accurate either and she told Hughie when she saw him on the subway that it was too deep for it to work.
And Annie looks completely different outside of her white and gold Baywatch suit with the curly haired wig. So yeah, no surprise no one recognizes her in plainclothes.
Watched the preview for tonight’s episode and shite’s going down. TNF matchup is dookie so i’ll be refreshing prime video like crazy lol.

Not until this last episode. But like I said, I could see that being a for emergency device rather than active monitoring.

Yeah, because paparazzi don't take pictures of celebs dressed down literally every single day in LA and NY. I'm just saying, meeting on a bench or under a bridge in a semi secluded park like they've don most of the time is ok. Kissing Huey on the street in front of the subway station, Ashley should have known about that.

She wears a hat all the time. And has never really appeared in anything Vaught related outside his Starlight persona.
Besides, in Winter Soldier, Widow and the Cap, far higher profile Avengers in their universe, dressed down in hats and everyday street clothes and no one really recognized them.

Why does Dr. Will look nothing like his face in the past other than natural aging? He’s hard to even look at.

I think I know what Mr. Edgar can do.

Well frick me like a silly goose.
First things first, the only other thing I knew from the comics is out of the window, this episode confirmed that it was NOT carried over from the comics. A peanut allergy, really?
Very meta bring John Noble in, it was announced earlier today, but still great to see that reunion.
Lamplighter you emo shite cuck.
So A-Train isn’t a complete dumbass, that’s good to know. Not sure if The Deep is all in on the kool-aid (Fresca?) or he’s in “idgaf, I’m enjoying life” mode.
Homelander and Stormfront trying time play Super parents is going to blow up in their faces. Becca is gonna bounce.
So Magneto chic is back in play. Ole Shockwave thought he was about to hit the Big Leagues too. Not going to lie, I thought Homelander was about to get the recycling plant treatment there too.
Butcher is gonna do something extra spicy Butchery next week. What? I have no idea, but it won’t be quiet or simple, he’s not just putting the tip in, he’s going balls deep.
