Except for one thing.
Each child developed its own powers and that was uncontrollable .... all depended upon the gene makeup of the baby.
But obviously, Homelander’s kid has Homelander’s powers and immediately connected with Homelander by lighting his eyes. So they are teasing us with maybe Homelander having passed on his genes to a normal woman.
ETA: Homelander raped Becca.

I actually don't think so. I think she did what she did so she could have a super baby and they could create a Superman-like hero who is above all the venality and sociopathic tendencies of Homelander.

A long time ago I heard this was written by Garth Ennis, but it'd slipped my mind.
That is, until 5 minutes into episode 1 when a few thing happened and just the general feel was exactly his, in a way Preacher on AMC never came close too.
So nice to see it finally done right as I always said it would take to do him justice. Even more tragic that Preacher never got that chance and the real story will never get the mass market treatment it deserved much more than that watered down b.s we did get.
That is, until 5 minutes into episode 1 when a few thing happened and just the general feel was exactly his, in a way Preacher on AMC never came close too.
So nice to see it finally done right as I always said it would take to do him justice. Even more tragic that Preacher never got that chance and the real story will never get the mass market treatment it deserved much more than that watered down b.s we did get.

and one thing i think everyone is missing up to this point:
- other than the 'fake flashback' of becca dying during childbirth did they show her pregnant? maybe the kid is just another V-experiment after all and through blackmail becca was coerced into raising him?
nothing is as it seems so maybe she was never pregnant and there's a different explanation for the boy.
maybe gus fring is really the one yanking homeland's strings behind-the-scenes and stillwater was only led to believe she was the one in charge. i think there's alot more to the homelander kid situation.

Then it wouldn't really make sense for Stillwell and the doctor to tell him she was pregnant at all. The doctor originally told Homelander that the baby and mother died in child berth. Then Stillwell told him she had a miscarriage. Finally, the doctor told him she had the baby and was alive. If she was never pregnant, it seems they didn't need to tell him any lies. Lying got Stillwell killed.

see above. maybe stillwell and the doctor weren't in on the full story. maybe gus fring is really behind all of it and they were also lied to so they would slip and feed homelander the same lie eventually.
maybe stillwell dying puts gus's plan into motion now.

So I watched the pilot for this last night. What a freaking great episode. I’m not a binge watcher. I started GLOW a year ago, and just finished season 1. But I think I’m gonna binge the last seven (no pun intended) over the final football-less weekend.

Definitely watch it over GLOW. Liked the first season of GLOW, loved season 2, but season 3 was typical Jenji Kohan horseshite.

Honestly, this is the thing.
The Boys changed a lot but they still made a good show.
Preacher changed a lot and made a bad show with one good sequence with the angels.
