I submit A Beautiful Mind over The Fellowship of the Ring, and Ron Howard directing such bland and obvious Oscar bait over David Lynch and Mulholland Drive for director. I know people here still love this movie while saying things like "the oscars have always been bullshite." It's saccharine, LCD nonsense like A Beautiful Mind winning throughout the Oscars' history have made them bullshite.
(Not really. It's an award show to enjoy, and it's ridiculous to take them seriously as a validation of your own opinion.)
