You mean Batwoman?

There's been an Asian Batgirl (Cassandra Cain), but never one that was black.

Besides, most people were just plain pissed at Ruby Rose (not black) for ruining the character. Casting a black woman was less "tokenization" and more "hail mary to salvage a show". The black version of Batwoman was original to the series; the regular identity just showed up last year but has not worn any costume yet.

Why did they hire a white actor to play Alfred? Or the Riddler? Or Penguin? Are there not any black actors that can handle such demanding roles? Its a movie made up of %90 white people, yet you're mad that a role character is black.
