Speaking of arcs, did Philips Russian son arc conclude or did they just drop it. Didn’t he travel to the US last season?

Who is Stan wanting to kill?

So what’s everyone’s finale predictions?
Anyway everyone lives?
I hope Oleg is ok
I predict Stan finds out and calls them out on it and pulls a gun, then says he’s giving them 48 hours to leave the country and never come back or he will report them. Fast forward to the 90s when the USSR has gone away and they are a normal family living in the countryside.

The way the preview for next week played, they want us to think it's Philip, but I'm guessing it's going to be someone else

would think Nesterenko and his guys might have figured it out, woman wearing a wig and makeshift gun shot right in front of them, at some point she’d be ID’ed as a Soviet.
No doubt - shes one of the head KGB in the embassy - they know who she is.
I feel bad for Oleg, but don't think his story is fully done. But clearly the moment they see the pictures from the priest meeting, they won't need him to find the sleeper agents.
I have a feeling Stan will be the one facing multiple ethical delimas in the finale - and his decisions (or hesitations) will drive the conclusion.
Prediction - there absolutely has to be a Stan/Phillip face to face once both of them know that the truth is known.

It’s actually a gas gun, shots vaporized cyanide in the targets face and autopsies at time time didn’t or couldn’t detect cyanide so they’d think he just had a heart attack

Help me out, why did Elizabeth have a change of heart and turn on her mentor?
I didnt see that coming.

It started a few episodes ago, but really hit after she listened to the tape of the summit meeting from State and concluded Gorby's guy was on the up and up. Once she was ordered to kill him, she realized what Philip had told her was correct.
Party/Country vs. KGB and it's leadership.
In her (and Philip's) mind, they are serving the Party/Country by betraying the KGB/Centre.

Got it
So are Phillip and Elizabeth for or against communism at this point?

Philip? Doubtful - maybe socialism
Elizabeth? She's still a patriot.

Over the years Philip has come to see the US is not this evil empire they were brainwashed into believing it was and actually came to appreciate his life here and how well off his kids had it compared to his struggles in communist Russia.
This is the first time really we have seen Elizabeth even acknowledge that what she as being asked to do wasn’t right. For the entire series she has basically been a robot - get orders then execute them regardless of what Philip might even think.

I'm actually thinking that Phillip and Elizabeth don't get outed. It all hinges on the surveillance pictures of Phillip and the priest.

Damn that was a good episode.
I think it comes down to Stan deciding what to do. I’m fricking pumped.

Cant wait to see how they explain this to Henry next week.
Stan/Addy will know its the Jennings but I dont think they will end up in a cell.
Now Oleg I am not sure- because looks like he is willing to sacrifice his family to stay locked up.
And that was a great twist with Tatiana being the lady Liz killed

In Russia? No way. It’s in the show’s title. In the beginning, “The Americans” were the bad guys they were having to live amongst. The others. I think Philip quit saying it, but Liz, Claudia, and Gabriel referred to “The Americans” with contempt—they were this symbolic, evil, bogeymen. Not real people actually, but an idea.
However, the Jennings are now “The Americans.” They really always have been. There is just no going back to the Motherland to live happily ever after. Elizabeth was the only one I could have remotely seen as winding up back there, but after the last 2-3 episodes, that’s clearly out. And like I mentioned earlier, I don’t think jail is a real option—just not cathartic enough for us viewers. Would be way too “meh” after the emotional investment we have made in these characters. They will either die or live “free” in America. Probably a combo. But I think they’ve clearly touched Russian soil for the last time.
