Damn, did not see Paige calling Lizzy’s whoring out.

No shite...that was a shocker.

Man i thought for a second when Elizabeth told Claudia that it might just end with them out and living here

I think someone has said this earlier in the thread, but I wish somehow we could time jump to 1991 and see Claudia and Liz’s reactions to the fall of the USSR

That was me
guess ultimately Claudia was right Gorby did end the USSR

So what exactly is the deal with the priests? They got one to rat on another so they started following him?

Underwhelming episode with 1 to go. Makes me worry they will just cram a bunch of finishing status stories into 40 minutes of programming in the finale.

They had something a couple episodes back, intel from the illegal in Chicago maybe that some Russian Orthodox priests were involved

I think the older one was actually not involved with the Communist Party and hated Father Andrey.
I thought this was a very good episode. Very suspenseful but not contrived. My only complain was Keri Russell's absolutely garbage attempt at trying a Russian accent in the flashback scenes
My favorite part is how the truly intelligent people like Oleg and Philip are operating at such a higher level than Stan and Andrey.

The scene when Phillip was leaving the parkAfter the priest tells him the other guy was meeting with the FBI was so great. He’s looking around at everyone, anyone could have been watching when he finally breaks running it’s like it’s on

I’m actually shocked that Philip and Elizabeth think it’s a good idea to be with Paige in the same vehicle. On top of that, they are going up to Henry’s boarding school in New Hampshire.
Now what I wonder is whether anyone in the pro-Gorbachev camp in the USSR has even gotten a hint of what Philip signaled. I can’t imagine they have since Oleg is staying quiet to not blow his sources. I wonder if that part of the story will be explored in the finale. Seems hard even though the last episode will be 90 minutes.

That stack of $100s was $5k. That could have covered half of Henry's tuition.
A lot of discipline on Philip's part not to use it.

I would think Nesterenko and his guys might have figured it out, woman wearing a wig and makeshift gun shot right in front of them, at some point she’d be ID’ed as a Soviet.

So, what was the meaning of the code? Bug out? Where the hell are they going?

I agree. And I wonder if they will ID her at some point in the finale. If so, this would help Oleg's case in Stan's eyes, if he is smart enough to think for a second.
I wonder how far out Weisberg planned the series finale. Like did they shoot that scene with Pastor Tim two years ago around the time he left the show, or did they fly that actor back to do a 2 hour shoot a few months ago. I would guess the latter but it would be really cool if Weisberg and his team had the series planned out for 2 years.

I think when he said things are 'topsy-turvy' at the office that was the bug out code.

I believe the chick Liz capped was the Tatania chick from Rezdenta

I think Oleg’s arc for the series is done, as far as the show is concerned he’s going to jail for 20+ years. Just like Claudia’s arc is done. The finale will be the Jennings and Stan/FBI.
In reality I’d assume Oleg gets out sooner. His dad is high enough up and we know Gorbachev wins, I’m sure there were prisoner exchanges at some point.

It was definitely Tatiana that was going to kill Nesterenko. And it was a gas gun that shots vaporized cyanide apparently autopsies at the time didn’t detect cyanide and they would think he just had a heart attack.
