I'm not surprised the KGB has nothing to do with the business. I would think they would want to keep the connections between the family and Center as low as possible.
I do think it's a bad cover for the way the family works on the show. Their weird hours don't jive with that business. But it does work somewhat with going out of town, although I think that probably doesn't happen too much.
Does anyone else think Stan is figuring stuff out too easily now? I get that he is suspicious of their hours and business. After living next to them for 10 years or more it just seems weird that he now suddenly is figuring everything out without anything big pointing to them. All he has is Philip acting funny which would easily be explained by a struggling business that would also probably be impacting their marriage. Stan went through something similar with a bad marriage, secrets and infidelity. Henry even said he thinks Paige met the Aunt so that's covered (but can now be checked).
Hell, the new director that got jumped by Elizabeth has had dinner(s) with her and didn't trigger anything. My guess is that Stan suspects they got into something shady trying to help their business. Something like laundering some money for some bad guys and he's trying to look out for them. That will lead to him figuring out the Russian angle.
At this point it just seems like too much of a jump for Stan to suspect his best friend for over a decade to be a Russian plant.

On Stan it’s not over a decade but 6 years, he moved in at the start of S1 that was set in 1981, this season is 1987. Also iirc in the pilot there was something Stan’s group was investigating and a car matching the Jennings was spotted near by, he started to snoop around their garage but changed his mind.
For Aderholt I don’t remember how much he was able to see Elizabeth in disguise iirc it was on a dark street

I agree with your points, and I think this one might be the most accurate prediction yet.

Didn't some of that already happen?

yeah, that's pretty standard for a preview clip to pull in some prior events.

This is really great
As damned heavy and serious as this show is, it's good to see the cast enjoying themselves.

that reminds me - what's Martha been up to since last season? I'm wondering if she'll make another appearance before the end of the show.

Hopefully that traitorous count is living a horrible lonely life of squalor

What I find exciting and good about this show is that only a couple episodes remain and yet I have no idea how this will end.
Someone die? Multiple people die? Extraction? Defection? Some of everything? And who?
There are so many ways this could turn.

I am hopeful Philip gets turned as a double agent and gets to continue living his American Dream so to speak but I doubt it wraps up so nicely for him.
Why am I sort of cheering for a Russian spy on an American tv show? Gotta love this show.
