every mistake pointed out in this show
Such as? If something happened in the show it was meant to happen and therefore isnt a mistake.
Also most of the "mistakes" I've seen pointed out were flat out wrong.

It’s just not who stories get told about.
It is the basis of the Jedi Order. I am starting to believe you are a Disney Star Wars fan meaning you came along as a fan after Disney took over. So, I understand now and why you see the things the way you do.

So when you have writers like Headland using self insert narratives you get her worldview which is, “since I don’t believe in morality and there is no right or wrong i’m not responsible for anything I do but since you believe in morals there isn’t any situation where you’re allowed to stray from my interpretation of those morals even if provoked or attacked” This is what you see playing out through this entire series and why it’s so ridiculous on every level. Apart from the incredibly bad procedural writing and dialogue that is.

You are correct in your assumption

If you hate the show so much just erase it from your head canon and thus the jedi can be morally perfect still

It’s still the basis of the jedi order. the show is specifically about people breaking the rules.
I literally cannot remember the first time I watched Star Wars. It’s been my entire life. My Mom is a S2 Superfan and she’s probably agree with yall on a lot of things. She read a ton of the EU books, i just never got into them.
Obviously i liked Luke as a kid but Han Solo was my favorite character in the OT. I have said before that my issue with a lot of the stuff after the OT was it was too Jedi focused. and as much as I get accused as a Disney Shill, you won’t find many post of me saying anything nice about the ST. I am pretty critical of Obi-wan, Ahsoka, And BOBF.
i have 2 major points: the story happens because these jedi are less than perfect. There is no story if they’re all doing the right thing. Further, they all know they didn’t do the right thing. If these characters were bad, they would feel guilty. If people never fail then you don’t have compelling conflict.
you have just good guys sword fighting bad guys.
The show is also about the struggle Jedi go through to overcome their very natural emotions. Which is also something we see throughout the franchise.
What’s funny is the Jedi who’s most in control of her emotions in this show is Vernestrah and all people do is complain about how wooden the actress is.

I am not saying that. You seem to come along for SW after Disney took it over. So views on the material will differ from those that knew the material long before Disney was involved. Views will always be different.

I am as well because they had the material to do so much more with it.

That has been the premise of SW material with regard to the Jedi.

Again, everything from the OT to CW and everything else has been about this. The difference for me is this show makes the Jedi express emotions as if normal and expected of the Jedi. The foundation of the plot line is these Jedi have emotion and do not try to overcome it.
That is not the SW I grew up on which were guardians of the universe using the force to do good. Actions and decisions were not driven by emotions. They may have created conflict but what set the Jedi apart was their ability to reason and overcome emotional tendencies non-Jedi were accustomed to.

I disagree as well here. My complaints with her are how she is so concerned about how the Jedi are perceived. She is willing to lie to the Council to not let them know what is going on. She is creating secret missions and being deceitful. Please give me an example of where that is normal behavior of Jedi in canon or EU.

I’m simply pointing out why it’s failing and why it isn’t any good. This is a movie/tv discussion board not a Disney fan club support group.

I have said before the majority of people that I know who are die hard SW fans main complaints with Disney are how they are creating material. They have the golden ticket for material but refuse to use it. People are upset and see the potential but yet Disney still ignores it.
Even when they create new characters like Ashoka in CW they botch it in her live action. Fett may have the greatest story arc of any character in SW when looking at the EU but yet they made a crap show.

In both canon and EU that is not the case unless you are only referring to the viewer.

Just because the jedi aren't good all the time does not mean they aren't always gonna be the light side

Fine but nobody here is trying to get you to stop discussing the topic which is what you’re doing.

The premise is they align with the light side of the force for good. The stories since the beginning of SW(OT) is that the Jedi have tried to stay true to this, but it has been a struggle throughout and basically lead to their demise.
Jedi spend their entire existence trying to better themselves and find meaning. They are presented with the idea Jedi are only Jedi due to their relationship with the light side but even though they seek to find harmony through the light side that has not always been the case.

And that’s what we’re seeing in the show. Why does it upset you now?
