But the dark side still continues after Palpatine dies.
Vader brings the Empire into power and they stay in power long after his death under snoke and kylo.
He did more damage to the jedi than he did to the dark side.
The original trilogy didnt cover Anakin’s birth/time in the jedi at all, so it's hard to say the whole point was to show that he was a light side chosen one vergence.

Why? They were planned from the beginning, which proves it was never planned for the dark side to end with Palpatine's death.
You have to learn the difference between your head canon and what is actually official Canon.
Unless it is confirmed on the screen, it isn't canon that Anakin’s birth was the result of a light side vergence. It's fine if you want to believe that is how it happened, but it is not canon.
It is very possible that Anakin was created by a neutral vergence which created a very force sensitive child that could have went to either side, and that child's decisions lead him to destroying the sith lord.

He wasn't strong enough at that time to save both twins, is my guess.
Doubt the writers are smart or talented enough to go beyond surface-level reasoning.

Movies/ shows do no have to specifically tell you what will/did happen. It can be inferred by conversation or actions, which means it did happen.....not some Theory as you would think....
