So the force is a creature too by your definition. You calling other people ignorant about Star Wars is laughably ironic btw.

Now THATS a straw man argument.
Maybe you aren’t ignorant.
Maybe you willingly ignore the parts of the movies that don’t fit whatever argument you want to make at the moment,

“Maybe you willingly ignore the parts of the movies that don’t fit whatever argument you want to make at the moment,”
You mean the way you ignored the most important and central part of the conversation you just manipulated to mask its true meaning? Leaving out the party where Qui-Gon tells him that medicloriates are the “building blocks of life and life could not exist without them”? You’re such a corrosive person and so obvious with your gaslighting and projection.

sometimes I argue with yall and I wonder if you’ve watched these movies.
You:

If the Jedi all believed the sith were completely eradicated, shouldn’t the force already be in balance? So why is Qui-Gon looking for a chosen one before he ever meets Darth Maul?
Me:
quote:
He's not looking for the Chosen One, he and Obi-Wan are tasked with guarding Padme and they're shot down to Tatooine. He happens upon him when they're marooned trying to get ship parts. When Anakin shows force abilities, Qui-Gon is intrigued. When he tests his blood, it shows he has more potential than Yoda, who's the Grandmaster of the Jedi. He then believes he found the Chosen One.
You:

fine fair enough. I misspoke, you’re right.

His knowledge comes from quick wiki-fandom searches, he doesn’t know anything about the pre Disney movies.

i’m not ignoring that part. But if you want to know what midichlorians are he tells you exactly what they are. that’s what they do.
they're microscopic life forms not atoms.

Remember the outrage about space fire on the wing of the spaceship Osha puts out?
R2D2 does the same thing in The PT. and the flames look exactly the same.
When does he do this?
Posted on 7/8/24 at 3:07 pm to TeddyPadillac
I remember in TPM, he saves the ship when it's hit by the federations blockade. Don't remember if it involved flames though

It's a quick flame from the expulsion of gas but it's gone by the time R2 and the other droids get to it
Posted on 7/8/24 at 3:13 pm to TeddyPadillac
There is a fire on the wing of Queen Amidalas ship and they send R2 and a bunch of other droids to fix it in the Phantom
Menace.
Menace.

it’s extinguished by the time R2D2 gets to it but the other droids are already there.
it’s still a billowing fire that you wouldn’t see in space for which how many shitposts we’re made?

Wrong and yes you did exclude it.

I didn’t ignore it. I excluded it because it’s not relevant to the conversation.
Qui-gon says they are microscopic lifeforms. Nothing he says after that changes that they are microscopic lifeforms.

If we are nitpicking the TPM, can we talk about Lucas introducing Force Speed and then inexplicably not using it in the absolute, most perfect opportunity it could possibly be used?

Posted on 7/8/24 at 3:42 pm to SammyTiger
No you excluded it because it destroys your misrepresentation. It exposes your dishonesty, that’s why you ignored it but it’s definitely relevant since it’s literally the definition.

this is the whole part of the scene
QGJ: Midichlorians are a microscopic life form that reside inside all living cells.
Anakin: They live inside me?
QGJ: Inside your cells, yes and we are symbionts with them.
Anakin: Symbionts?
QGJ: Life-forms living together for mutual advantage. Without the midi-chlorians, life could not exist and we would have no knowledge of the Force. They continually speak to us, telling us the will of the Force. When you learn to quiet your mind, you'll hear them speaking to you.
if you watched that scene and don’t understand midichlorians are microscopic life forms you’re a simpleton.

so they didn't show a billowing fire, just an initial fire, and we are too assume it was a crackling slow fire like in the Acolyte even though that isn't shown?

why are we assuming anything . you can watch the video someone posted, it’s not a blow torch and it’s not scientifically realistic in any way.
are we going to be upset about realistic fire or not?
shut when R2D2 gets hit during the trench run in ANH he flames up. why would he have any oxygen?

showing me more unrealistic fire doesn’t help the case.
