It's force feeding 21st century American gay politics into the shows that is the issue. You don't have to hate gay people to get tired of every property making that a central focus to the detriment of good writing and story. The Acolyte show is just stupid. If every character was straight, it would still be stupid. All the characters are lame, the dialogue is ridiculous, and the story is nonsensical. "Attack me with all your strength". and the "power of one" mantra are worse than bad junior high student fan faction. This revenge story literally has an assassin who can't get to the target handing that someone some poison. Said person says frick it and downs it. It's shite through and through. You are obviously an alter. Quit being a coward and log on as yourself.

What these idiots at Disney have forgotten is what made Star Wars so popular in the first place.
It wasn't the fantastic storytelling, or the supreme acting, but the escapism to a completely different galaxy.
It struck a nerve with so many people who were fed up with post-Vietnam war era malaise and the near depression of the mid-late 70's. America needed a distraction, a vacation, from the drudgery of everyday life (kinda like today). Fans did NOT need to be lectured to and forced to accept the idea that everything they grew up loving is now considered bad. Where is the HOPE or positive message in any of these Disney variants of Star Wars? All of it is trash, from one end to the other. There's nothing FUN or new about Disney Star Wars.
"Let the past die. Kill it if you have to!" has replaced A New Hope as a central idea in everything Disney has made.
