Doing a rewatch for the 100th time still enjoy it and think Kelso Carry’s the show
Still think maybe it should have ended sooner of course the final season is a train wreck
How would you have ended it ?

That last season gets some well deserved crap for being lame, but they were already starting to run out of steam around Season 6 or so.
Red’s surly demeanor, for example, starts getting repetitive and phoned-in sometime around Season 6.

Love that show. And yes the final season was terrible though.

Shows great...still bummed That 80s Show was a steaming pile of dogshite. I mean there's so much material. Maybe my childhood doesn't translate to retro-cool? Or maybe the writers just sucked, which is odd because they used the same writers from That 70s Show.

Loved the episodes that ended with her starting up a big night of hard drinking. I didn't watch it when it aired weekly. Caught it in syndication, and wished I'd watched it from 1998 until it ended. I thought I was too busy to watch new TV shows when it came out.

One of the best shows ever made!

In my opinion, the show noticeably went off the rails when Foreman stood Donna up on their wedding. That was such a dumb way to keep the leads apart. It really made little sense for the characters. I know Eric didn’t want Donna to feel trapped in Point Place, but he could have just gone with her.
I thought Kelso should have ended up with Brook or Laurie. Kelso being a himbo stay at home dad married to an intelligent librarian would have made a lot of sense for his character. At the same time, he and Laurie really had a ton in common, and in Season 2 they show how their hookups developed into a realish relationship. She definitely understood Kelso better than anyone, and their were moments when she appeared to clearly care about him for more than just an easy mark she could use. They also should have developed the fact that Kelso had a gift for electronics (making the tiny pong paddles) causing him to invent some kind of massively successful electronic device in his garage, probably by trying to make something completely different.
I liked the idea that Jackie ended up with Fez. In my opinion, that pairing always made the most sense, and they even made it clear Jackie was attracted to Fez in Season 2. I wish they would have expanded on Jackie being a natural mechanic/handiman as shown in season 1.
I liked Donna working for the radio station. It seemed a natural destination for her character. The relationship between Donna and Eric feels really natural and genuine in the early seasons. I like that they end up together at the end. They kinda had to.
Same goes for Hyde working the record store, but it’s hard to figure out a proper love interest for Hyde. The Jackie relationship really only worked because of the shock value and the comedy of them being such an odd couple. It never really made much sense beyond that. The marrying a stripper subplot was extremely dumb.

The characters became caricatures of themselves... it's what happens when a comedy show goes on too long. The Office is another great example of this happening

it was a show about high school kids in the 70s. Learning about life, smoking some pot, trying to get laid.
even though people wanted more the show shoulda ended at the graduation.

I wouldn’t say he carries the show. Definitely a good character.
The only character I really dislike is Hyde. I quit watching when Eric left, never saw the last season.

Mila Kunas was only 14 when she was cast as Jackie.

The porn parody of That 70s Show is pretty good too.

Love this show. But yeah the last season was shite, and Randy can DIAF.

It's been so long since I have seen it. How did it end?

IIRC, she told producers that she was 18 when they cast her.
