Isn't she a generic Valkyrie?

Wasn't that Brunnhilde that took the deathblow meant for her in the Hela fight?

If she’s saying she doesn’t want to work with white people or men, then she should get all of the shite that y’all are giving her. That’s absurd and racist.

But I think she’s saying she doesn’t want to work on a set with almost exclusively white people or men. She would instead prefer that the production behind the camera reflect her day-to-day experiences off set, which includes men and women of different races.

Pic of her as a Valkyrie that never dresses as Valkyrie. They took one of the most visually appealing Marvel characters and turned into Generic Warrior Princess #2.

She was a Valkyrie, but not THE Valkyrie from the comic (Brunnhilde). Brunnhilde was killed by Hela during the battle shown in flashback in Thor Ragnarok.

I'm pretty sure that was just an homage to the comic depiction.

She's in the credits and listed all over the internet as Valkyrie. Homages and slight of hand aside, THE Valkyrie in the Marvel Studios universe is Tessa Thompsan. Grey jumpsuit and all.

In the movies, the comic book Valkyrie has been replaced by someone who dresses in a boring fashion.

Correct. She may be Marvel Studios' version of the character, but she is not supposed to be the same Valkyrie from the comic. I believe that Stan Lee himself made that distinction. That said, I thought she was great in the role. I wasn't a fan of her generic costume, but I suppose it makes just as much sense as giving her braids and silver body armor.

If she meant this as a troll it was a pretty good one. If she didn't then the use of "no offense" a couple times is the kind of thing Archie Bunker would sandwich around one of his slurs

What a count.

She can do that if she wants but she will end up ghettoizing herself, no pun intended, to a small segment of cinema as a result,

CLEARLY what she meant.

Thread is a reach

I have no problem with her saying this.

That pretty much makes you a racist.

I just wish men and white people could speak so freely.

You mean you wish a white actor could say I don't want to make movies with black people? That is also racist.

Even though a white person wouldn't get the benefit of the doubt if they said the same about blacks I'll wait until she clarifies before judging.

it matters because the op is insinuating she doesn't want to work with white people.

She never said that.

Her post is a throwaway pro-diversity comment.

Do I agree with it? Meh, not really. . .but it is a pretty standard and tame comment from a Hollywood actress.

This is a nothing-burger being misrepresented and extrapolated for e-high-fives from those that refuse to just read what she actually said

I feel like we need 4 more years of Trump to wipe away this stink. People are getting really tired of the "kill whitey" bullshite.

So hot, too. Shame.

I’m pretty skeptical of this source. The misspelling in the quote doesn’t help either
A quick google shows that she's made several such comments.
