This season nowhere near the level of the first 3 seasons. The tones, humor, plot are all off. With that stand it’s must watch for me and I came in to this as a new series with old characters we know and not comparing it to the previous run. Seasons 1-3 was a fleshed out story that was meant to only be 3 seasons. This is all bonus material and it’s solid.

I’m struggling to get past: leaves London after being offered the highest coach salary in the Premier League to stay.
-Leaves because he wants to be with son in America.
-Now leaves son again to move back to London and coach the women’s team for less money and small crowds.
-Meanwhile, the team he built is next door and shares the same stadium.

Henry’s ability to teleport himself from Missouri to eat at Mae’s with Ted and go to school with Phoebe will need to be addressed at some point.

Man everyone is entitled to their opinion I guess but for me this season has been easily the best since season 1.
I agree they need to establish an antagonist I guess (ie Rupert type) but for me season two took a little while to find its stride.
In regards to season 2.
Ted’s post game speech about the friggin dog like it was some profound thing was a caricature of season 1.
I really didn’t like the sports psychologist lady.
And it REALLY annoyed me that Ted was 2 years in coaching professionals and still proudly was ignorant to any soccer strategy and told prideful to give up the “I don’t care about winning or losing”. As beard said there is real world consequences for that stuff at that level and it doesn’t just impact him and the players. It impacted Mae’s bottom line the fans etc.

I agree. I've been really enjoying it. I did like season 2 but season 3 had a lot more filler than the other seasons.
this season feels very tight so far (as much time as they had to write it that makes sense)

This episode was kind of a breather. The Roy Kent subplot was the most entertaining for me.
