damn good episode.

quote:

Jamie gets the glory, but lets not forget about the goalie. Van Damme he's good.

All the jokes about the mask of van damme aka mask of zorreau cracked me up. Dude was beast mode

Saw a couple others mention Nate coaching when Ted leaves and Roy assisting, think that may be reversed. Nate humbles himself as part of his redemption and return, and they’ve been setting up Roy to take over w the press conferences and the like. And he’s matured and can relate more to players. Dunno. Beard is a definite wild card. Gonna miss this damn show

I challenge the usual posters who have been bitching about every episode to say anything bad about that episode.

I’ll bite.

Watching You’ve Got Mail made no sense and was dumb.

Not showing Jaime’s goal sucked.

Nate’s girlfriend always listening in behind a corner was cliche.

But overall, was a Very enjoyable episode. Not sure why you are so uptight about others not thinking every episode is perfect

This whole show is a take on a Rom Communism. I don’t think it was a throw away line either about Sleepless in Seattle when a father and son have to set up a household without a mother.

I admit now that the end is imminent, I realize how much I am going to miss Rebecca and Ted scenes. I actually think they should remain platonic friends, but damn, having a close friend move half way around the world still really, really sucks, even if she still has Keeley, Roy, Leslie, and Sassy. Damn, even if the story arc is finished, I really am going to miss sharing time with these characters.

Now you sound uptight.

It's always funny how you try and go after me.

I just can’t believe they are setting up Rebecca and Sam to end up together. Such a ridiculous storyline.

I thought she’d go back to the boat guy in Amsterdam.

I don't think they're setting them up. Just a kind of knowing look when watching the movie. Think it was a happy memory versus something more substantial in the future (unless I missed or am forgetting something else).

I feel like they've been laying the breadcrumbs for Keeley to go back to Jami this season.

No at all. What I think they've shown is that Keeley and Roy can both be great friends for Jamie. It just shows that they care. Early in the series, neither of them cared for much of anything but themselves.

I was thinking last night if I would date a girl that just got out of a serious same sex relationship.

Of course there could be benefits but now you have to jealous if she talks to anyone. Not sure I could do that.

This whole show is a take on a Rom Com

Is it? I’ve never seen it that way. It’s more of a dramedy to me. Rom com implies that romance is the main theme with comedy sprinkled in. The main story of Ted Lasso is not about romance.

you are the one challenging / asking anyone to respond. You don’t get to say “you are just going after me” when someone actually responds.

Really enjoyed the episode, but did anyone else find the jamie and his mom scenes very weird? She calls him sexy, he’s snuggled up to her. The camera is over her shoulder basically looking down her shirt while they are talking

Yes very creepy. I was hoping it was his stepmom so they’d hook up

I think everyone does.

It’s supposed to be somewhat creepy appearing but ultimately wholesome

Had the same thought. Roy has potential as a coach but it seems pretty clear he’s not the Wonder Kid and I think Nate takes over.

Umm. I think he actually said Wunderkind

When they were leaving the house I really wish Roy would have said “your mom is fit” & Jaime responds with “I’ll cut your fricking eyes out”

The whole series Ted has had this super positive influence in people by being extremely kind and extremely well positive. You see all over the show that effecting people and changing them for the better

But in Ted’s own storyline they portray this aspect as him as this enormous cover for all his problems. Even making it something that his mom does too.

It feels like such a conflict in message.

There is a reason people say "Sad Clown." Think Robin Williams and Chris Farley.

Lol this is reminding me of all the funny parts of that storyline.

Roy finally checking the boot room for Will and then saying “You missed a good one” when he walks in.

When Keely is trying to cheer Jamienup and she says they’re talking shite about his hair online and Jamie loses it.

I’m rewatching the series cuz my daughter wanted to watch it and we get to the Amsterdam episode in season 3 and I can’t even watch it again. The worst episode by far
