Also, Will talking to his mom while loading the bus “and then a lively couple invites me to have a threesome” before they cut away cracked me up.

This was one of my favorite episodes since the Christmas one. Loved the weirdness of the Western themed bar and the camaraderie of Jaime and Roy.

I was rewatching and realized the Zava poster said 2013-2013 and it made me laugh so hard. It really is the little things.

Same :)

I thought this was one of the best episodes of the show, mainly because it caught the overall happy feel of a Lasso episode and explored the characters.

Jamie teaching Roy to ride a bike was maybe my favorite scene after the darts in Season 1. It was funny but also showed real growth for both of them. I will be greatly disappointed if we don't see a lot more between them as they're my favorite characters. I hope and expect Jamie will become a true star by the end and lead the team to the championship (or whatever soccer has).

Higgins and the equipment boy was also a fun story. We got to see Higgins passionate about something and live his dream. And there was the threesome to make the boy's night complete.

I thought Colin and Trent was very well done. It's not my favorite topic but I thought Colin laid out his issues in a very normal and understandable way. I had no issues with "the agenda" in this case. I legitimately felt for Colin and just want him to be happy. Him saying he doesn't want to be a spokesman or anything puts it all into perspective. He wants to live his life and that makes perfect sense to me.

I could see Rebecca ending up with the boat man and being a stepmother to his daughter. Or I could see that was just a great night that showed her she can find happiness now. I even liked the guy...right amount of cool and fun. He has my blessing to pursue Rebecca if he wants.

I loved the Keeley storyline mainly because she wasn't there. If she's not interacting with Roy, Jamie or Rebecca I find her character a waste. I'm glad she had a great weekend scissoring and watching the sky off screen. I still think she ends up with Roy because of Rebecca's comment to him along the lines of "she's with someone who thinks they deserve her." Roy opening up to Jamie shows the growth that he may accept a loving relationship with someone. Maybe he hooks up with his niece's teacher for a curveball.

The team interactions were pretty good. Loved Danny Rojas losing his temper at one point and yelling. Overall I think this is the catalyst for the team coming together behind something important that happened...

and that's Ted actually coaching. My biggest (and only real) complaint is the Ted Lasso character. Loved him in Season 1. Loved the peak behind his curtain last year with his issues. What I can't stand is how horrible of a coach he is. I get it's a workplace comedy that happens to take place at a football club and sports details is not the point. But after 3 seasons as the head coach I've been frustrated by how he has no knowledge of anything about soccer. After a summer of FIFA with his son he should be able to understand more than the basics...same as how so many kids here learn real football concepts from playing Madden.

He finally had a coaching epiphany. I was also a huge Bulls fan so I ate the whole triangle thing up. It was also a nice touch that the shrooms were duds and everything came out of his sober mind. I hope they continue to show why he's a good coach and leader of men. I hope they also continue to show a side of him that's more serious and reflective at times as opposed to a cliche-spouting doofus at all times. The scene earlier this season when he pulled Roy aside and laid down the law about Trent was one of the better looks at this and showed there's more to Lasso the coach than someone who's lucked his way into success. We need just a little more of this to show why the players and front office would respect him as a coach.

Great episode and touched many of the reasons I love this show so much. Looking forward to the back half of the season. I will say that I'll be crushed the first time they don't release the episode on Tuesday at 8pm as opposed to the scheduled release early Wednesday morning. We're spoiled and plan our schedule around starting Ted by 8:04 on Tuesdays now.

I didn't care much for this episode. I think it's utterly ridiculous that a bunch of rich 20 year old single guys sat in a room and argued for hours while Amsterdam awaited- that was too hard to swallow.

More ridiculous than the head football coach at Wichita St. taking over a Premier League club?

Someone equated Jamie and Roy to Burt and Ernie and now I can't unsee it.

That was the point to show the team was in a rut and needing to work our their issues

100% happening.

I think Ted's ex and son move there in a surprise.

The next episode in entitled "Strings That Bind Us", so I am guessing, there will be some discussion of the Home Shore.

Yeah they bonded and go on a tear with Ted's new triangle strategy.

Has it been mentioned yet that Tex Winter was an assistant on Dale Brown’s staff the year before he joined the Bulls?

First half of the episode felt a little preachy, pushing some narratives... but man the last half of that episode was as good as we've seen out of the show in a long time. Not on Christmas episode level but it was getting close by the end. Great episode IMO.

She gets pregnant by their one night stand and this fulfills the psychics prophecy. She doesn’t know his name plus he lives on a boat so she never finds out who he is. Thus they don’t have to bring his character back.

Despite them saying to each other they never had sex, as she walks out he says to himself they did.

I'm gonna say no to the idea that a modern television show, a comedy at that, is going to write in a pregnancy resulting from a drunken one night stand that happened off camera. Particularly when they clearly depicted that nothing happened.

This. That would have huge consent issues not to mention the previous episode pretty much put the kibosh on her ability to get pregnant with a lot of help, let alone in one episode of sex. The “ yes, we did” likely just referred to a bit of serendipity and brief, but potent, connection.

This was a pretty good episode and hopefully corrects some of the issues they have casted the characters into.

Keely has gotten so bad they need to leave her totally out.

Precisely. It's like your Uber driver getting a Formula One gig.
