The inception of Superman was an immigrant figure whose desire was to fit into American culture as an American.
It wasn't introspection, it was Jerry Siegel watching his father shot down in a robbery and wanting criminals to get smacked around and arrested. It was Joe Shuster drawing himself in a story where the girl he liked sees him as a big man who saves the day.
All of that introspection and self-doubt came decades later.

They have a couple black Supermen. They could use the one from Earth 23 named Calvin Ellis. It's already been shown that audiences can handle multiple universes and different versions of comic characters. Just make that Superman in that universe. Introduce him with a Flashpoint-esque story or have an opening crawl that explains how there are multiple universes. It's not rocket science.

I hope this happens. I hope this will be the beginning of the end to all super hero movies. I’m so tired of the same rehashed BS that they are doing in Hollywood. Used to be a super hero movie every couple years. Now it’s 4 a year and worn out.

Seriously, y'all should just try to read some of his Black Panther books. They are absolutely garbage. I wouldn't watch this even if he was a fantastic writer, but he isn't even mediocre.

Goddamnit DC. I want to like their movies so bad. I have always preferred them to Marvel. Their other stuff like animated and games are awesome. But it seems like they have gone out of their way to make bad movies since the Nolan trilogy ended and apparently did not learn their lesson from Snyder. And it sucks because they have shown they can make good stuff with Wonder Woman Joker and Shazam.

Be careful what you wish for. Snyder might be a hack, but at least he's a visionary hack who just isn't a talented enough filmmaker to put what he sees/wants onto the big screen. There are men like Snyder and then there are other filmmakers who turn whatever they touch into shite.
