Jake is a joke to the entire tribe. I don't think there is a move he can make to overcome that.
Boston Slob really is just comic relief. Can’t believe that idiot found an idol and is now guaranteed F4 with a great chance at F3.
Love how he went to Katurah with this overly complicated plan AGAIN to force a tie and then rely on his persuasive skills at tribal to turn Dee or Austin to vote out Drew
Jake: Whatever you do, don’t tell Dee or the whole plan is busted!!
Katurah (immediately runs to Dee): Want to vote out Drew?
Dee: OMG YAYYYYYYYYYYY!!
(Girls jump up and down hugging and giggling)

Man, actually a brutal blow for Austin after showing Dee nothing but loyalty and trust.
This is the reason for my biggest gripe of all the recent changes to the show: having the reunion immediately following the final tribal. I like seeing the interactions after they have seen everything we have seen.
In this scenario, Dee may be able to explain away why she voted for Drew and con Austin even more. However, if they had a live reunion, we would be able to see how Austin took it when Dee had the exact opportunity that Austin had, but she did not show loyalty to Austin.

Dee has already betrayed Austin at least twice - first when she told Julie to play her idol and second when she lied to him after TC. Dee is responsible for Emily going home and Emily was another Austin ally.
Austin has lost his focus in the game while Dee is laser focused on winning while maintaining her allegiance to Julie. Austin doesn’t fit into Dee’s plans except as a jury vote.
Austin’s a smart guy so hopefully he refocuses and looks at options other than an alliance with Dee.

He won't vote out Dee. If he does wise up, his route to winning seems pretty clear. Get Katurah and Jake to realize they have to get rid of Julie at the next tribal or Dee if Julie wins immunity. Then, he has to hope whichever one is left does not win the final immunity challenge. If he happens to be excellent at making fire, he can volunteer to take out Dee/Julie in fire making himself.
Actually, now that I write that out. It would be pretty great television if that played out. Austin is in tears as he realizes what he has to do. He defeats Dee with in fire making while feeling horrible about it. He shows the jury that he took out the two people most likely to win. He wins unanimously then asks Dee out on a date when they get home.

8 jurors? Shouldn't it be an odd number?
Posted on 12/20/23 at 9:30 pm to kywildcatfanone
Least surprising winner ever. Season started awful, but got better after they got rid of bruce
Posted on 12/20/23 at 9:39 pm to kywildcatfanone
Even if it’s odd, you can still have a tie (4-4-1, or 3-3-3)
Having an even number jury takes a three way tie off the table. Third place votes for winner as a tiebreaker.
Dee deserved to win. Austin blew it when he let her in on the Julie vote. And Emily’s question buried him.

I agree. I thought Austin did really well at final tribal but the Emily vote-out was the difference. When Dee revealed that she did indeed tell Julie to use her idol, you could see who was really in charge.
Katurah would have won if she trusted Jake.

Austin should have taken a shot at Dee... cost him $1m because he easily beats Jake and Katurah and almost certainly beats Julie too.
The fire making at 4 continues to be a shitty plot device. Great moment for Jake, but that needs to go back to a vote.

Zero chance. Austin would have ended up with a perfect season without Dee there.

quote:Katurah just wasn’t a good player. She kept saying Dee needed to be taken out. But when she had the opportunity, she flipped on the only person that was on her side. Then she tells everyone she didn’t trust him to try to cover up her bad play. What happens next tribal challenge? Katurah was rooting Jake on to win.

Dee earned her win and it ended up being a good season. But what was with Emily saying she’d take the money away if Dee spent one cent on Austin. Did I hear that right?

It was funny how Emily’s transformation was a big story this season and how she was going to ask her boyfriend to get married but then made a bitter comment about Austin.

I honestly don't remember a survivor where the biggest goof ball made it to the final 3 without ever doing anything of significance like Jake.
Sucked arse in challenges (Literally never in contention), unless it was unanimous, he was always on the wrong side of the vote or didn't know what was going on, and had 0 alliances the entire game. He took three big shots and failed all three times (and he kept trusting the Clitora on all of them).
Dragged to the final 3 because he could beat some urban chick in a fire making contest

No Dee made lots of mistakes & may not make it to final 3.
You sure about that? She had this game by the balls.

Katurah did that almost every single time someone came to her with a plan. Someone brings Katurah a plan and she immediately exposes it to someone else.
And all that ridiculous “You should be a lawyer” stuff was laughable. It was clear she talked to multiple people about law school outside of the edit. But they framed it to make it look like she was such a convincing player she’d make the perfect lawyer and then “Surprise! I’m actually a lawyer”
One thing that was so refreshing is that nobody tried to win on a sob story at the end. It was all gameplay discussion. There was no “I want to be the first bi-polar, Native American, lesbian, transgender person” to win Survivor so please vote for me.
Dee was very deserving.
Also Emily seems like a good hearted person but her comment about Austin at the end showed why she’s been dating a guy for 10 years but isn’t married

vote went pretty much how i figured. Could have gone either way but, i think Austin saying that Dee never told Julie about their plan and the Dee saying oh, yes i did may have been the turning point.
again, blinded by titties.

100%. Austin knew it too. His face said it all, and I think he was actually winning until that very last comment.
At least for Emily, that decided her vote because she was bitter that him telling Dee ultimately led to her leaving. Austin didn’t handle it well imo. Her question was was about listening to his heart over his brain, he should have said it wasn’t his heart, but his brain because Dee and Drew were his ride or dies all along and he didn’t want to betray his alliance, not his girlfriend. And even though it cost him a number in Emily, ultimately it paid off because Dee rewarded that loyalty because she picked him for final 3 and may not have had he not kept that trust. Drew didn’t, and she sent him home the next day. At least it would have made it harder for Emily to justify giving her vote to Dee had he not given her the heart over head argument.
They really did a lot of work with h Emily’s edit to make her seem personable because seeing her at the arrival and at final tribal shows that she really is just a head case with very little social awareness.
Must have been hard dealing with her, although again it seems like the three week season is so much shorter and manageable. Every time Jeff says day 19 or whatever I’m like damn that really isn’t shite.
Regardless, great season with almost every tribal being a toss up.
Would have loved to see how Jake would have voted if it was a tie. He could have finally made an impact, but Emily took that away from him too
Would have been awesome if Emily voted Austin and before Jeff let Jake vote they both said that’s ok Jeff we want to agree to split the money rather than risk it all on this goon
Seems like a nice enough guy, but Boston Slob just couldn’t catch a break out there
