Pretty weak episode. Was funny watching them try to throw the challenge. JD is an idiot.

That chick ain't a Jamaican pastor; she's a Jamaican witch and that tune she is humming is a curse.

I was so ready for this season but it’s been hard to settle in on. The advantages (always too many) are convoluted and the characters are all so meta about the game it’s hard to follow their loyalties and intentions. I mean contestants worrying about big moves in the first four evictions is so shortsighted.

Hoping the merge brings out more rational gameplay.

I think there was an episode tonight. Judging from this thread the season must be riveting.

Before this season I had never missed an episode. I used to VCR that shite . So I mean, I was down. But when I saw the wokiest woke clip , especially after some of this other crap in recent seasons, it just felt like a parody within a parody . I won’t watch a minute. It officially became uninteresting to me , like overnight. But you woke arse wokesters, knock yourself out condemning all the racist sexist trans phobes to your heart’s delight. There are still a few more people out there you haven’t bored.

fricking what? how do you even like this show if this wasn't a really good episode? im not sure what else you want in an episode with like 14 people still left.

the challenge and confessionals around throwing it was really funny, the tribal dynamics of everything happening with green was super interesting, shan's move was fascinating and sets her up as a potential winner or poetic downfall, and everything JD did was hilariously stupid in a super "fun to watch unfold" way.

ive enjoyed every episode this season for a variety of reasons, but this episode was probably the best so far. had a little bit of everything. excited for the rest of the season.

Agreed. Really the only bad part was Shan's humming. And I really don't like how it's setting up for her and Ricard as I don't want either to win.

JD got completely played though and it was glorious.

It wasn’t a bad episode. I don’t like Shan so that may be why I said weak. The challenge trying to be thrown was hilarious. I like this season so far.

I agree with you here, but it's pretty impressive how she played JD, even a great acting job acting paranoid and convincing him to give her the advantage again.

Yeah, I have to give her that. It also showed how dumb JD was. Shan isn’t playing a bad game at all, I just don’t like her.

I cant believe how stupid J.D.was after saying repeatedly that he watched the game his whole life.

"For real, this is the last time I'm giving away my advantage."

He wasn't wrong.

im interested to see if genie was acting at tribal council or really thought she was going home. it was either:

1) genie really thinks shes going home and is being genuine but still votes for JD as it's her only shot. she likely would have used her shot in the dark if this was the case
2) shan and ricard let genie in on the move to build trust and gain an ally and genie put on a hell of a performance. this seems more likely but i wouldnt mind next episode opening up with some kind of footage or discussion showing this to be true.

it was quite interesting that JD just clearly didnt want to work with genie or was beyond obsessed with shan or both. jd and genie were convinced they were fricked, but they could have just worked together and got one of ricard or shan out using JD's extra vote. would have been very easy

Ha ha ha. Can we just imagine if they attempt to do the different ethnic tribe ever again!? They would be sued into oblivion. Probst is such a punk. REALLY! He has to act ashamed for doing what is a common thing all across the earth by calling a group "come on in guys!?" That is said all over the place by folks who don't care or don't look for stuff to fall all over the floor crying about being offended! Wha Wha Wha I am so hurt and offended! I ought to sue Chef Boyardee for putting a Chef on the cans. I find that offensive! Boo hoo hoo...

YES poor JD has now joined the ranks of the poor innocent Survivor men players duped and removed by the "Amazonian women." Those insecure women who it seems every season will team up to remove as many men as they can. Plus Survivor should now make it mandatory for each player to wear a tee shirt with their TRUE IDs. These IDs that seem so important to Probst and the Producers who are about to lose many fans by overboard focusing on foolishness instead of competition anymore by making them wear I am LGBT! - Gay - Straight or I am a Racist!

YES! Shann and Ricard for me , after seeing 99.9% of all Survivor episodes since day one are the two most annoying / irritating players EVER! I want them out ASAP before they are able to corrupt or screw up other players games.

Was she acting? I was sort of distracted at points during the episode but when she was begging, I thought how desperate and needy she was being. After the fact, she tried to say it was on purpose but I don’t know.

Also, in episode 1, Probst said how this season was going to be so different and we’d see production planning stuff before the players were even aware. We saw some camera people when the tribes were abandoning the boat in that episode and before the first or second tribal, Jeff looked at the camera and said “either the alliance will stay together or someone will get blindsided tonight.” Big deal.

Heather breaking down and crying when she blew the reward challenge? Nice way to put a target on your back.

She told Richard her plan before she talked To JD so it was all an act. JD is just stupid and fell for it. All he had to say was he gave her the advantage last tribal and if she doesn’t trust him after that, there’s nothing else he can do.

And I agree with what someone said several posts up. There are too many advantages this season, with too many strings attached. Most of them have flopped though because none have been used as of yet I don’t think. Maybe they’ll start flying after the merge. Though I think Jeannie’s threat of rolling the dice played a small part in JD's exit.

Hard not to pull for Danny. Really just seems like a cool cat all around.

Tiffany - "I may be bad at challenges, but there's a social game too". Um, you're terrible at that too.

What's up with the little aside by Probst to the camera as they are arriving for tribal?

Agree with the "too complicated" comments. I really wish they would do a hardcore "back to basics" season without all the extra randomness.

Damn, it makes me feel old to watch this now. I remember when shite they were doing in like 2006 seemed cutting edge, yet super removed in time from the first season.
