It was an awesome play, and really the only thing they could have done to get the wheels turning in the minds of the other side of the tribe. I think he should have expected them to vote out one of the guys and used it on himself or the other guy who ended up going home.
I'm also assuming CBS somehow rigged it to where he'd read all of the 4's votes before the 5's to build suspense. As soon as he read the first vote against you'd realize he picked the wrong person to use the idol on.
But again, solid move. Kinda like what Jacob did. If you know you're at a disadvantage you have to extend yourself and a make a move.

I disagree. You have to hope that they buy your bullshite about the double idol. If they do, you assume that the other side will guess you save both guys with the double idol. So, they avoid the idol by voting a girl. I think playing it on Brendan was the 3rd best option behind simply playing it on himself.

well hell. muh frickin Stephanie. i was hoping she was gonna make the merge, i thought she was gonna make a run. really the worst thing for her is she got on a loser tribe. and is it just me, but dayummm she is pretty frickin hot to me

I think they are going to end up regretting not getting rid of Michael when they had the chance. Who cares if your tribe gets a little weaker in the challenges, you still have two easy marks and before long there will be a merge or another tribe swap. Plus those challenges usually come down to puzzles and not just athletic ability.
And I'm sure it was just the editing, but did no one from the bottom three even both to look for an immunity idol? I'm guessing they did and no one found anything so it was edited out?

yep. merge next week. i agree. and to be honest, i think steph would have been a better asset to winning challenges anyway. her back story is she has mad swimming skills etc as a try athlete or some shite, and probably smarter than michael as well.
idol... yea that is kinda weird. I've also kinda wondered why they weren't scouring ghost island when sent looking for hidden idol, clue or advantage.. who knows, maybe they're told theres nothing there....

Yeah, could be that production tells them that the "game" is the only advantage they could get on Ghost Island, so they don't waste their time.
So far Ghost Island (the island, not the season) has been a bit of a dud, only one advantage taken and it has already been passed on twice.

They may have been and it just wasn’t shown. But I think it’s more likely they didn’t want to look to hard and put a target on themselves.

What a terribly boring episode. No surprise at all they are doing the merge so early. That was one of the worst hours in Survivor history.
