David vs Goliath isn’t what I expected as a season theme but I’m excited for it. Glad this show is still thriving 18 years later

Reunion was cut really short this season? Has it always been like that? I don’t need or want the plug for Kevin Hart’s new show. I want to hear from the rest of the cast.

Yeah, that would have been really ballsy. But I didn’t think he would do the fire challenge. I thought Angela would have put up a better fight. Wendall made it look easy.

Yeah they didn't really talk to anyone

Indeed. It couldn’t have worked out any better for him. I also thought Domenick was slightly more deserving, but Wendall was really good too.

I’m pretty sure the reunion used to take up the last hour of the finale. And you got to hear from every cast member.

That was one of the most deserving final 3 that I can remember in survivor. I wouldn't had a problem with anyone of the 3 winning.

I would have had a problem with Laurel winning. She had so many opportunities to make an actual move and get rid of the two guys dominating but was too scared. She was essentially just a great mole.

It's funny to me that the people I liked the most all voted for Dom and all the people who were just a waste of space voted for Wendell. Chris, Michael, and Desiree all tried to make moves and were actual players. I think they all recognized Dom's play.

The show is changing in several ways. Notice they never mention food anymore?
They never show runningnout of, rationing or cooking rice. They don’t fish. Not one scene.

Laurel did absolutely nothing to be there. Thats why she got zero votes. She was just taking up oxygen. When she had a chance to do something, she just fell in line and did what Dom and Wendall told her to do

She was not deserving to even be there

This season, they allegedly got the smallest rations ever.

one of the things I love about the older seasons is that they were actually starving and surviving. Ozzy, like him or not, was a true “Survivor” in that he went out and fished and brought food to the table.
One of my favorite things about watching the show when I was a little kid was showing the castaways with diving for food with the spear. If I’m not mistaken Hatch caught a shark one year?

That actual survival stuff, yeah, that’s one of the cooler aspects this show has sort of gotten away from in recent years.

Other points from the finale/reunion. Pretty sure Kevin Hart was fricked up again and was watching from the green room and actually thought Probst brought the voting urn straight from tribal council backstage. Second, Probst stopped and made a point that he would be making an apology to Erik and James so I was wondering what he was apologizing for...then he never apologized for anything.

Wish they had touched on Wendell’s burn when Chris left. And was there no favorite player this season?

Domenick and Wendall played a much stronger game than Laurel.

I hated the Kevin Hart plug at the end. Save that shite for some other time. I was surprised Jeff read the votes at tribal council. Would that have still taken place that way if there was no tie?

Doubt it...both Dominic and Wendell were deserving. I hated how Sebastian acted about Dominic's fake idol. He was just bitter about being fooled.

Sebastian was definitely still mad. It seems like the longer you are on the jury, the more forgiving you are. Dom’s 5 votes were the first 5 people who got put on the jury. The tribal council when Sea Bass got voted out was typical of the season - Dom and Wendell were both in on the plan but Wendell sat back and let Dom be the vocal one.

I was surprised that Kellyn’s voted for Wendell. She asked a jury question about who brought the jury members into the alliance and Dom was the winner of that poll.

Dom could have poisoned Laurel’s relationship with Wendell when Wendell didn’t invite her to the steak dinner but he didn’t. I was surprised at how easy it seemed for Laurel to cast that final vote. Either way, Wendell seems like a really nice guy who deserves the win more than some previous winners.

Yea, they check the votes every time before Jeff reads them, once they knew is was a tie, they stacked the votes in the box so it would be dramatic then decided to read them. I knew instantly when he said he would read them that it was a tie

Being that it was a tie and that Laurel would have to break the tie, it was imperative that they do it then and not months later after she was influenced by outside things.

I think Dom was more deserving and the jury was simply bitter.

If this was the old format, Wendell would have went to jury and Dom would have won
