re: Survivor 50 - Premiere 2/25/26

Yeah that was weird.. in reality Savannah was his #1 all season, and deserved is vote.

That felt like a weak episode, a real come-down from the excitement of season 50 premiering.

We didn't really get to see the tribe dynamics of 2 of the 3 tribes play out before the early tribe swap because only one tribe went to tribal council. Q did a great job of building an alliance/trust on his original tribe and got swapped without even going to a tribal council to a different tribe that just so happened to have three D vs G people that might or might not have had a pregame alliance.

Too much Emily Flippen and Charlie/Rizo too. I think most of us are watching this season for Coach, Ozzie, Cirie, Colby, etc.. We're not here to watch Emily Flippen, who shouldn't have been on this season in the first place, fumble her way through the pre-merge.

Q going home also just brought down the entertainment value of the rest of the season big time.

Most of the team challenges are terrible to watch. A couple basic obstacles, throw a ball in a hoop, do a puzzle.

Sucks we lost Q he was a wildcard we needed for a few more episodes.

They should have let the fans vote on extra vote/losing votes. I feel like everyone hates when players lose votes for really no fault of their own.

Great season so far, much better than anything we have had in 6-8 years just because of nostalgia purposes and previous rooting interests for certain people, alone. Episode 3 was pretty underwhelming and a let down though.

I did not want to see Q go home. He’s a pretty subpar Survivor player, but he’s fun to watch. Emily frickin sucks in all aspects. She is a terrible player, and never should have been on this season along with people like Tiffany and Angelina as well. I really wanted to see Emily go home, but she’s pretty well protected right now. The second Christian found out Emily told every person on the beach about the idol, Christian should have said “she’s a loose cannon, and needs to be sent home”

I understand challenge threats getting taken out when the game dwindles down to 10-12 players, but shoot there were still 21 and now 20 people left in the game. Vatu sends home their second strongest challenge member, and I won’t be shocked if they are right back at Tribal next week. I don’t understand the logic of keeping someone like Emily around, especially considering she opened up her mouth in a big way. That combined with her challenge ability alone should have been enough to be shown the door.

Kamilla has been a pretty big surprise so far. She was the biggest reason her tribe crushed the challenge by far.

I like Steph, but unfortunately she seems to be the odd one out.

Still like Devins, but I liked him more his first time around. I do think it was pretty genius to put a “fake idol” at Tribal, and that likely will come into play later in the season.

Ozzy and Coach both getting solid edits so far.

I’m good with any of Steph, Dee, Coach, Colby, Ozzy, Cirie, Christian, Kamilla, Jonathon going far.

I find myself rooting for Colby to get the win, but I don’t think his strategic prowess is there to get it done, and he has had a low amount of screen time the last couple of episodes.

Kyle going home sucked for him. I know it was episode 1, but he positioned himself better than probably anybody at the game at that point. Was on a strong Vatu tribe to start, and likley Q, and Geniveve both would have had him as their #1’s. Still had Colby, and Steph with him who are not the backstabbing type, and an additional number with Rizzo, plus Kamilla down the line in a potential merge.

I know long post, but I haven’t got the chance to post yet in this thread since the Season started.

I still have very high hopes for this season, and like I said, better than anything we have gotten in quite some time, even if it’s just nostalgia alone.

I’m hoping the game play ramps up, with a lot of people who have shown us strong game play, and strong big moves in their previous seasons.

I think the biggest issues with the show are: not moving locations, not having it be 39 days anymore (or at least a full month where you really feel like the players are having to survive out there), not having themed seasons anymore (and this lame "hands of the fans" I'm not counting), and the lack of diversity in life experience amongst the contestants.

I think they've made a push for more diversity which I think is great. But, you don't have people from all walks of life combining on the same island for a social experiment anymore. It's just a lot of upper-middle class, white collar people.

I don't hate that they've locked it down to Fiji for filming... but they should go back to 39 days and stop giving out so many food rewards so that rewards like fishing gear is actually useful and part of the Survivor experience. We're losing the outlast part of the game in a survival sense.

Pretty meh episode. Emily will run herself out of the game. We’re going to be in for another tribe swap if they keep going to tribal each week. Gotta love spending 15-20 minutes of a 1.5 hr show for a country music artist’s personal infomercial. You could tell he was not the “super fan” he claimed to be.
