I wish there were less advantages and twists.
Carolyn still has an idol as well from the original beach. I think she ends up winning at this point. Whomever wins at 4 is going to take her to the jury and regret it.

I would love this so much. She is my absolute favorite. I think attempting to run things will catch up with both Danny and Carson. With Frannie gone, if they get rid of Danny and Carson, I'm not sure who could win a challenge, either physical or a puzzle. It would be fun to watch.

Yep. They should all be able to get on board with voting out Danny. I think Jamie, Lauren, and Heidi would all align with Carolyn if she plays it right. She reads people pretty well and I'm not sure anyone there realizes it.

Yeah the only ones I really care about are Tika. They are three good characters and the rest are kind of forgettable, other than Danny but I definitely think he is out soon. Will be a huge target as soon as he doesn’t have immunity.
This has been a good season though imo. The bird cage was a cool twist that didn’t ultimately end up having a big impact on the game, but was fun as it played out and seeing how the different tribes played it.

I wish they showed how long she was in the voting booth. It had to kill Danny that she ousted him. Now Carolyn needs to go find another idol.
This cast, to me, is one of the best in recent seasons. I actually look forward to watching the show on Wednesday night instead of watching the recording over the weekend.

If you told me after the first episode that Carolyn and Yam Yam would be your favorite people on this season, I would've thought you were crazy.
They did a great job showing how Carolyn's intuitition about people is typically right while Danny's has been wrong.

She made the correct move tonight and if she gets to FTC this will help her case majorly. Unfortunately, I think the remaining players know that and I could see Yam Yam orchestrating a mutiny. Though I could also see Carson turning it on YamYam because he plays well with Heidi, Lauren, and Jamie.
The obvious play is Tika and Heidi make it to the final four, but I could also see them trying to play it where Lauren or Jamie make it because they’re goats.
Edit: Also, wtf were Lauren and Jamie doing voting Heidi. What planet are they on?

I felt better about Carolyn's chances this episode until she kinda melted down at tribal. That and the way they smirk at her and don't even consider her a threat tells me a lot about the perception of her.
If she makes it to the end she'll have work to do to convince the jury. I don't think she'll get a lot of credit for this idol play because ultimately she didn't need it because Carson schemed a better plan to bring Lauren and Jamie in.

While I loved the reactions she got, she would've gotten them at the next tribal if she didn't play the idol this time. I don't blame her at all for playing it, but it turned out she didn't need it. Carson only had 2 votes. You could argue that this binds Carson to her, I guess.
Why did Carolyn write down Carson then scratch it out? Was that a joke or did she really think about voting for him?

Splitting because everyone was worried that Danny had found the replacement idol after he played his for Frannie.
Now there should be another idol in play... Carolyn had better find it or she's going to get blindsided.

It was for Lauren, not Carson, which makes even less sense.
My only thought (and it's a stretch) was she told Lauren she would do that so Lauren would know that Carolyn voted for Danny. Sometimes they put smiley faces or hearts or something on their votes so their allies know someone stayed true to their word.

At this point it's Carolyn and yam yam in the final 2. I didn't give yam yam any chance to win that comp but, he pulled it out.
Of the remaining players, i'd like to see Carson win.
But, he needs to up his social speaking game. Both carolyn and yam yam would destroy him in the finale question,answer, speaking part.

But she had no way of knowing that. She correctly read the room that Carson was the vote, I think she has to play it to preserve Tika and make sure they continue on. Splitting the vote only would have benefited Lauren and Jamie if someone else had an idol or advantage, so I get it sort of…except now they’ve likely burned the bridge with Heidi and helped Tika continue on. They get 0 benefit from that move except to earn more money as a top 5 contestant.
I think Tika should go with the plan next episode and pick off one of Lauren or Jamie. Then I think Heidi should play her idol to pick off one of the Tika 3 to get a top four of Heidi, Jamie/Lauren, and two Tika’s. I like YamYam, but Carolyn is closer to Carson now and Carson is good socially. They could flip things on YamYam.

Yeah, she obviously didn't fully trust Lauren and Jamie to split the vote. They did in the end, but they could have also blindsided the Tika 3 and voted with Danny and Heidi.

Most of the previews for next week were about getting Carolyn out. That means she’s safe again next week, if past editing tendencies continue.
I’ll pimp the Probst weekly podcast again. This week was another good episode. They spend a short amount of time talking about this week’s show but the majority of the time is spent talking about the program. Lots of listener questions this week - good stuff.
