Wasn’t my preferred winner IMO (Mike) but CBS has pretty much telegraphed this one for weeks.
Mike didn’t articulate his strategy well enough. If he would’ve argued that he used trustworthiness in his social game while simultaneously manipulating and selectively breaking his word to help his game he maybe could’ve pulled it off.
People not using immunity idols doesn’t impress me but good for her.

Back to back two worst survivor winners in history.
Even my eleven year old son was like I’m never watching this show again and walked out as this little crackhead won without winning a challenge.

She articulated her strategy/game way better than Mike. Mike looked unprepared for the final tribal council whereas Maryanne was waiting for that question.

He broke his word multiple times, if he would’ve just owned it I think he could’ve had a chance.

The jury practically begged Mike to say he used his trustworthiness as part of his strategy, and he couldn’t do it. He had it won had he read their pleas.

Having the idol and not playing it wasn’t the impressive move.
Getting Mike to play HIS idol for her instead of someone else while she had one in her pocket that no one knew about was the move, and it was HUGE.
I found her incredibly annoying most of the season and considered her a goat you carry to the end, but between getting Omar out and that idol move, she won my respect at the end.

I do agree that Maryann played really well towards the end. But I still think Mike played the better game but couldn’t deliver his argument.

Mike totally botched the final tribal, too much pride I guess?
I don't think Maryanne was a great winner, but it was pretty obvious the last few weeks that she was the one to beat. She was just good enough at the game and was clearly going to get some empathy votes no matter what.

Mike got the same treatment many middle aged women have usually gotten in FTC. he played a very good social game but ultimately had to lie, back stab and manipulate but couldn’t own up to it. Coach also had this problem in the season he lost.
Maryanne had an all time great FTC performance. Not sure there’s ever been a mic drop like when she pulled out her unused idol.
Even Romeo had a good tribal. Great season overall. Loved every episode.
