If Jonathan isn’t that big of a threat, why vote him out?

He's her biggest threat in immunity challenges, not her biggest threat in the final jury... so for her getting Jonathan out now makes it more likely for Lindsay to win immunity at 5 and 4, when she no longer has an effective idol.

One other thing... if Lindsay plays her idol on Omar it probably puts another one back in play, odds are (just going by 1/5) someone else finds it and then... chaos! Then you get a situation where an immunity necklace plus three idols are all in play at once. If Lindsay doesn't win immunity or find that idol, she's fricked no matter what.

They might put another one in play anyway since hers is no longer effective. It could get interesting.

This was my thought when she said it. If they were going to put an idol back out there, why would they not do it once the idol is voided.

Lindsey’s the front runner and then Mike. Maryanne.might even get the #2 spot after tonight.

I agree. However, for whatever reason, I just don't like Lindsey very much. She just annoys me, although she's grown on me a little, up from really can't stand her, to she annoys me.

Maryanne was right last night and she must have really convinced Romeo to vote that way. Very smart way to use her extra vote. Depending on who gets to the end, if (Big if) should could articulate well, she could say she's been playing a character to stay under the radar and then made a big move. I do think she has played a character to some degree.

I like Mike. I like Jonathan a lot and enjoy watching his challenges. I probably just enjoy watching Jonathan. But his social game isn't good.

Everybody is just keeping Romeo as the goat. This season has been great! And Hai, Omar, and Drea know it, too. They know just how much they got played.

Omar said in his exit interview that he found an idol nullifier after the reward challenge in episode 4.

Too bad he wasn't in the tribal where Drea and Maryanne played theirs.

In the preview for the finale, they show contestants scrambling around and someone (maybe Lindsey) says “If I don’t find it, I’m going home.” Romeo shows off a fake idol he made (is there anything better than when a fake idol gets played?). Some kind of advantage or idol will be out in the wild.

Lindsey bugs me because she has overcome the odds athletically and played on the boys football team but acts like she pulled the upset of the century when she beats Jonathan at a puzzle or a contest where you stand on a small slab of wood.

In 41 they had a word scramble for an advantage in the final 5 challenge. Erika won it and went on to win the challenge because it was a huge advantage.

Yeah, have to assume this is happening again.

She needed Omar out in order to win way more than she needed Jonathan out. Even if she was confident that Jonathan was the vote last night, saving Omar and perhaps forcing Romeo out instead would have hurt her chances.

I agree. She mind fricked Omar when she explained that the reason that she didn't want to give him the idol was she worried that another idol would be introduced. He was sacrificial to her. If Omar survived TC fine, if they made the play so be it.

The only issue is she will have to do work now to not be the next one out.

Probably figured she could convince the group that Maryanne is the biggest threat to win at 5, no one knows about her second idol.

Omar said they they discussed the idol but because the paperwork said it was not transferable that meant she couldn’t just give it to him she had to play it on him which they didn’t want to do and let everyone know how close they were. He said they basically were just way too confident going into it that it was going to be a unanimous Jonathan vote.

Why couldn’t Lindsey give the idol to Omar but Mike could?

I think it definitely benefited Lindsey to have Omar leave though and deep down she probably knew it too.

Lindsay had the last piece of the three-way amulet that she got on day 1 with Hai and Drea. Remember the fake blood scene? The pieces had to be used together so it wasn't a traditional no strings attached idol.

ETA: Biggest gripe this season and other recent ones is too many idols/advantages/powers in play. Half weren't even used this season, we didn't even see Omar getting an idol nullifier.

The only time I like it is when a bunch of them get used at a single tribal. Watching the roller coaster ride of emotions from the players is incredible.
