Survivor 42... Premiere 3/9

I know everything woke goes broke, but I enjoyed last season right up until they announced the winner.
Full 18 person cast.
Bonus link: ranking seasons 1-41. I think he has Survivor 41 too high at #21, but he's dead on with last place.

Yep.
Tori is the only one who (based on these pictures) is probably attractive, although the high waist swimsuit is hideous.
And two maybes... if you were stuck on a deserted island.

Last season was the first season I ever watched live and was so excited to tune in after I did a covid-watch of some of the highest rated seasons in history. Only got a few minutes into the premiere friggin episode before we got to "ok guys huddle up. Actually, first let me get your consent..is it ok if I use that phrase guys to address you?" My eyes nearly rolled out of their sockets.
I will probably record tonight and read reviews and maybe give it a shot tomorrow.

That was annoying, but it was over quickly and forgotten about.
The worst part of last season was the need to spend so much of the editing on the New Zealand alliance to the point where they barely showed us the winner's game play.
Also some of the twists were duds.

I quit watching last season after the episode where they got rid of the phrase, "come on in guys". It was a load of woke crap and I won't be watching survivor anymore. They lost me as a fan.
On a side note, the guy that came back the second day and said he was offended by "come on in guys", if I got his story down correctly, he was a gay man, married to and having a child with a pregnant trans man (biological female), correct? In which case, despite their wokeness and word salads, makes them just an ordinary heterosexual couple having a baby. Am I missing something here?

I’m in the minority that really enjoyed last season. Overall, I thought it was a great cast. The twists they introduced fell a little flat, and the edit for the ultimate winner left a lot of viewers scratching their heads, but I give the season a solid B+. Not among the greatest seasons, but nowhere near the worst.

Show sucks now because of all the magical powers. For one I only have so much to remember for a 1 hour weekly show, and two it has ruined the game. Gone are the days of strategy with the hidden idol monkey wrench thrown in, now it’s all luck and chaos with overly complicated advantages. Trash!

They should do a season where they warn them about all these idols and advantage and have none of them. They can even have Jeff say before reading the votes "Does anyone have the ultra mega advantage? No? Ok, I'll read the votes."
