Supposedly the Silver Surfer has been confirmed for the film after being added to the cast list on Metacritic

They would have had to sneak some kind of legal copyright/representation of Silver Surfer agreement throughout all the other mess, since the purchase isn't complete.
I wouldn't be shocked if they were able to do it with their level of secrecy. I also wouldn't be shocked if this were a rumor that will take a life of its own.

There's a lot of talk about time travel or scenes set in the past. Its possible her scenes in IW are set in the 90s.

It used to be Galactus was one of Marvel's biggest guns. But then they started jobbing him out to build up other cosmic characters.
I'd be interested to see how he matched up with Thanos. Plus, it'd be interesting to see if he would even care. He just wants to eat planets for the most part. If Thanos killed half the universe, that would make it easier for big G, assuming Thanos didn't actually destroy the planets of most of those he killed.

Full power and unhinged Surfer is one of the most powerful non-Godlike characters in Marvel.
Galactus is his boss, if that tells you anything.
