Gunn loves that tier of characters. It's what he did with Guardians. We will obviously get the tent pole ones but it feels like he's going to make a "lower" tier justice league first. right now he's basing it off this run:

The big names need their own movies to establish them first don't make the mistake WB did by force establishment of the JL in essentially one single movie

Another thing about this board, and just the internet in general, there was so many things shown in trailers and other footage that people bitched and moaned about that were perfectly acceptable with context in the movie.

Yep. I’m guilty of that. I thought the CGI looked terrible and I heard about what they did with Superman‘s parents and just kind of ran with my own opinions before seeing the movie. I’m guilty.

What gunn likes to do is to bring balance to movies. All the characters brought different aspects. I bet the reason why he didn’t want to do a movie solely about Superman is because all the reasons why Superman hasn’t worked in the past. Which I understand a lot of people love what Superman is. But not everyone does. He was able to bring so many different characters in to bring balance. Nobody does that better than him.

I really liked all the characters I just thought that at the age they presented Superman at he should’ve led more and been more comfortable in his role. I get we didn’t need another origin story but Superman seemed like he was as just starting out. I did enjoy the movie though it was a lot of fun.

Think about what he was able to do. He made a Superman movie where everyone is praising his depiction of Superman. Praising him for resurrecting him. While also completely changing his origin story that most would believe is in a negative way. I don’t, but a lot of people do. He also threw in a bunch of different characters that most people have never heard of. People have heard of green lantern, but not this Green Lantern. And everyone is praising him for the job that he did. It’s really unbelievable if you think about it. You have to praise him for it.

This was the best Superman movie I have ever seen and I am a Zack Snyder fan.
Everyone was well casted if not damn near perfect
