You know the review bombing claims are basically a myth. There are as many five stars there are one star.

How does that happen? If the movie isn’t out yet?

Yes, the studio has financial reasons to pay people/bots to propagate rating services with positive reviews. Did you even see the Rings of Power hype show?

Six months after the series had dropped & none of those “super fans“ had posted anything about the show on social media. The one girl was more excited about House of the Dragon!

Just saw it and was unimpressed. It was a bloated, tone deaf mess filled with predictable clichés and an over abundance of cringeworthy moments and the usual CGI vomit parade.

Way too many half-baked subplots and juvenile MCU lite quips that landed like a wet fart.

For the life of me, I don't understand how this movie is getting so much praise. It's a subpar film at best and feels like a two hour TikTok reel.

The only redeeming qualities are the cast. They absolutely nailed the roles. Too bad it was overshadowed by every other aspect being dog shite bad.

Just finished it. I thought the cast was excellent and enjoyed how they used metamorpho. I think it would have been better if they would have been more focused on one threat but I understand why they did it. I thought they used Lex well in this. The Justice league characters were not over done but Green Lantern and hawk girl weren’t necessary and just had bit parts. Mr. Terrific was ok but the Krypto being such a big part of the plot was somewhat annoying. Overall I’d give it 3.5/5

You bought a ticket to this movie so you could hate-watch it. James Gunn thanks you for your time.

I consider this a good thing. Afterall, it's a Superman movie.

When people make it known how bad they think it is going to be, anything not as bad as they thought gets praise now.

It’s seeping into everything from education to art to sports. Just don’t be a complete disaster, and you are very good.

proves this can be done which makes the times it's not done properly so damn frustrating.

James Gunn (and his brother Sean) stupidly opened their mouths when all they had to do is shut up & NOT talk about politics that wasn't even in the movie.

But they just cannot help themselves. It's mind blowing.

Agreed. I was worried it was going to be like a DC version of GotG but it wasn’t and that’s a good thing.

My 17 year old kiddo that’s heading to college just saw it. He said best superhero movie since Infinity War.

He said plot was fine but “it was so hype.” He said he will go watch it again with me this weekend. So far it hits with the teenage crowd. He went and saw it with 8 other kids boys and girls and they all loved it.

That's a good sign. It needs families and young people to show up

Spoilers in this review:

I grew up with the Christopher Reeve Superman. Man of Steel was the only Superman movie that to me was close to being on par with those. I saw the new one this afternoon and was disappointed. I try to avoid trailers as a rule for all movies so I had little expectations.

The good:
-Good acting and believable relationship between Lois and Clark
-Lex Luthor was done fairly well

The bad:
-Way too much centered around the dog
-Clark’s parents were HORRIBLE! I think Gunn was trying to make fun of red necks
-The movie did not have a Superman feel to it. Very little use of original score
-Superman got his butt kicked the whole movie. Felt more like a Spider-Man movie. He was very underpowered.
-The plot in general was just not that tight. The whole world turning against Superman that easily was just too contrived

This movie fricking sucked. So disappointed. I don’t know what I just watched to be honest. It was all over the place and felt like a bunch of teenage angst on screen.
