I hate him, but he also cracks me up at the same time. I love how much of a prick he is without caring.

I think Ken and Shiv will he put up against each other for CEO

I just can't get past the thought that Shiv's offer to be CEO was never intended to be real

And the really funny thing is how Shiv played it. Like, she knows it's probably not real either. Everything in her tells her that it's not. From knowing Logan's history to seeing him do the same thing to Kendall. But she can't ignore it.

The dynamics of this family are so over the top and hateful, but it's just really entertaining for me. Everyone in the cast just kills it, and the acerbic wit underlying everything - while being almost too perfect at times - just works. Not sure how popular it is but I hope we get a long run because there is so much material to be mined.

His acting job this season has been phenonomal so far. He is basically just a sad robot at this point like Roman said... "because my dad told me to"

+1; this show is just entertaining as hell.

They are setting up a Kendall v Shiv showdown that should be awesome. I think the Kendall actor has done a good job of being awful yet at the same time it is hard not to root for him compared to everyone else

I love the second season, just like I loved the first season. Kendall’s Reek turn is well acted, the comedy supporting roles are as sharp as ever, and I like that Shiv is being brought into the fold, even if she will soon be passed over.

My one complaint is how abruptly she quit Gill Eavis’s campaign. One comment about hand sanitizer leads to such a big blow out? For a show that takes its time with plots and character development, that was way too rushed.

My favorite part of the first two episodes was Tom’s interaction with Greg about ATN, followed by his interaction with the news director (?) where he made it clear he hated their shows just as much as Greg did, even though he will never admit that to any of the Roys besides Shiv.

Agree... My friend hasn’t watched the episode yet and I told him this show only throws flaming heat. No filler or waste. Great TV

That was a ruthless move that Ken did on Vaulter. The type of move we all wanted to see him do last year.
I'm still in awe of that moment just replaying it in my head. What a fantastic display of his transformation from the egotistical spoiled brat who thinks he knows better than his father in all cases to the ruthless/emotionless slave to his father.

His character arc is so interesting.

Season 1: Egotistical spoiled brat so full of ambition that he will stop at nothing to dethrone his father and become what he views is the only rightful heir to the CEO position
Season 2: Rock-bottom humbled servant of his father willing to go to all lengths to redeem himself in his father's eyes

What will be interesting to see is if, in becoming this hardened, ruthless version of himself, he actually becomes worthy of the CEO spot in his father's eyes, or if we are led to believe this only to be surprised again (which we know by now the writers love)by his father's decision to choose someone else.

no it was when she escalated the confrontation and brought up his hypocritical nature that the deal fell apart. She could not hide her contempt for Eavis and she stopped trying to mask it

why did kendall steal the batteries and throw them away?

I kind of disagree. I don't think Roman intends to make any of them CEO, ever. I think he wants them all exactly where Kendall is. Sitting in his office staring out of the window, completely under his control.

This Shiv CEO thing was purely a ploy to get her to leave Gill and come back into the fold. Now he is going to pull the rug out from beneath her.

Also .. they are going to make Connor a legit contender for the White House.

I think he did that to feel some kind of a sense of control in his life.

I forgot to mention I laughed out loud when Shiv/Tom went to have dinner with Roman and Tabitha.

Tom said he had a cold and Tabitha said: "You should try swallowing something..........like honey"

Tom face. Hahahahah

This may be a bit out there, but I've thought that if Pokemon evolved shows it would go

Suits --> Billions --> Succession.

Not saying Suits is even in the same ballpark as the other two, but that just seems right to me.

Never watched suits
Should check it out

But my grandma watches it so I had second thoughts

I love this show but if by evolution you are saying succession is better then I disagree
I think Billions is far superior
But i guess it’s because I can relate to that more

I don't know. I think Billions is just so over the top at times. I thoroughly enjoy it whenever I watch, but I've liked the (semi)grounded approach of Succession a great deal more.
