The entire episode, as the kids are flopping around like fish on a pier, all I could hear were the dad's last words to them, "You are not serious people."

It was the best acting jobs by the 3 kids collectively I think since the show began.

I was planning on watching a little of this episode and then falling asleep because I didn't start it until midnight. Ends up being 1:30 and I'm wide awake, yeesh.

Did not see his death coming this week at all. On one hand you hate to see such a great character go, on the other hand, I love that this a-hole is gone. Just a miserable, mean person. The show can have a different dynamic now that I'm looking forward to.

I think the most surprising part was after the episode and it turns out Kendall might be an even more of a goober in real life than he is the show

“I just never got to make him proud of me”

That line by Connor just fricking hurts, man. It’s his entire character arc in one sentence; he was the discarded kid, more discarded than the rest.

Am I the only person, while watching that thought it was all a setup to see the reactions from the kids?

That's exactly what I thought, with Tom in on it. And I think that's exactly what they wanted us all to think. Like somebody said, they didn't actually show Logan's body for a good while during the chest compressions. Fantastic acting by Matthew Macfadyen to convey that "is he fricking with them or not" performance on the phone. At first he sounded really fishy, then the longer the phone call went on the more shaky he sounded. By the time you figured out Tom was serious was the exact time they panned down to finally show Logan was really was under those compressions. Amazing acting by Sarah Snook too. The way she broke down at first when she found out what was going on was incredibly realistic and a little hard to watch honestly

The main thing I was thinking at time of death was how this show will end. I've seen personally and professionally what kids do when the father dies. It's not pretty. These people were not pretty to begin with and there is the potential for the show to wind up with one of the best endings in all of television. Maybe even the all-time best.
This episode was up there and possibly beyond any in the excellent first 2 seasons. I suppose it ends with an even bigger stunner than the end of season 2. I think they are mostly in shock still at first, but then it gets really ruthlessly good.
Award winning acting and story line all around. Succesion is definitely back.

Brian Cox has no tolerance for method actors. In his opinion actors should, you know, act.

From the scenes from the rest of the season it appears he did. Thought I remember a conversation about someone asking him to drop out. So he must be in that Nadar spot where he might get some concessions to drop out so someone can win.

Just finished and wow like everyone else I thought it was a stunt to keep the kids distracted. Great episode and now let the real games begin.

My redneck arse watched NASCAR last night and got spoiled when I opened Twitter after the race, so I watched the episode while eating supper tonight.

Damn, what an episode. Watching these dipshits navigate the rest of the season will be A1 tv.

As always, frick dem kids. Fully prepared for a letdown, but… Team Tom. (I was a non book reading Team Rob Stark in GOT )

Very good decision to make the move. Logan’s character was starting to stunt the growth of the plot. That said, the writers are going to have to step up and give much better material to everyone else now.

Wait this is the final season? Wish they hadn’t wasted last season in that case. Feels like there’s actually some runway for decent plot lines now.

Team Tom

While Tom is a great character, he is a terrible human being. He's the sleaziest character and his treatment of Greg, while comical, is demeaning. I hope he crashes and burns. I would love to see Greg emerge from the shadows to outmanuever the Roy's and take control of Waystar. It's king of what I was expecting when he was introduced in Season 1.
