The CEO choice would have had to be approved by the new president. That was the whole point of the position. Several people in the company and with the president would have had to know and approve.

Did we see that happen? Or are we supposed to just assume that happened? I may have missed it..

Watch the episode again. Tom has a whole team of people with him and is in command.

Its a pretty small detail but the whole hypothetical of how shiv would have discovered she wasnt CEO was not in the show either. Its all speculation like everything else on a message board.

I was dissappointed with the show. It was ok but it just missed on something I cant quite put my finger on. I dont think Shiv would have been ok with Tom taking the position that was her idea. I dont think she could deal with that. She got outplayed by Tom before and melted. The second time getting screwed by Tom would have been the end for her.

Mattson straight up tells Tom that dealing with the president/politics was going to be easier than he thought. That's why getting rid of Shiv was an easy decision for him.

Didn't even realize this was the finale until about halfway through the episode when I paused it and saw it was episode 10.

I've wanted for over a season for Logan to be dead so the show could have a different dynamic. Got what I wanted this season, and it didn't help. It needed to happen, but I think this season was definitely the worst.

My main takeaway from the finale is that I'm just happy that none of the kids got the company. I had the slightest bit of sympathy for Ken there at the end but it ended about a second later and i smiled because I wanted nothing good for him. They all are POS's and just because Ken is the oldest and possibly most competent, doesn't make me root for him.

Plus, it's not like any of them are going to be hurting.

I’m really surprised the fake numbers in India wasn’t exploited. Feels like that was a much bigger deal and they just “buried it on a big news day”. That should have shut the deal down immediately.

I both agree and disagree

Facebook used fake numbers and wrecked a bunch of content sites and ultimately it didn’t really matter

I think there is a fair criticism that show is too cynical about the work that goes on at that level but the show was never really about the nuts and bolts of these deals. Like the gawker layoff that was done solely because Roman wanted a win over Ken, had nothing to do with if it was the smart business move or not.

For the purposes of the plot the fake numbers were just an excuse for the siblings to dump the deal.

I love Greg. Tom and Greg were basically the reasons I was still enjoying the show. But I'm kind of surprised Tom took Greg back after Greg gave that info to Ken.

I know he basically has him by the balls now but I couldn't have him on my side after that. Greg is clueless on a lot of things but it was clearly to the point that Greg would flip sides in a heartbeat. As much as I love his character, I don't think I'd want him on my side.

Yeah, no way that happens IRL.. You could NEVR trust him with sensitive information again and that's all information regarding CEO's.

Exactly. But then they didn’t use it to their advantage. How is that not part of Ken’s argument to the board, the media, to everyone? He runs a news channel.

That is assuming Ken Is competent

His living plus numbers are equally as bull shite so there is that. Who knows what else they are propping up.

The shareholders are all making too much money off of Gojo even with 50% in shares it is better than relying on Ken and the siblings.

To me, it seemed that Greg was resigned to becoming Tom’s Reek

Absolutely.

Which is mindblowing considering he gave up a massive, guaranteed inheritance to do so.
