It was emotional and selfish. Everything she does is out of spite. That's her MO

Exactly…they somewhat redeem her with kitchen scene and then this shite

Exactly. This was 100% on point for her character. It’s exactly something she would do.
In fact it would be disingenuous writing to have her change this late in the game. I actually applaud the writing.

I don’t think her getting cold feet was out of the blue.
I think she thinks she can frick her way back into a position of power, because she can’t do that with her brother in power.
She has become the woman she has claimed she would never be. She’s no more than a trophy wife at this point and THAT will be worse than purgatory for her. It’s another case of her being clever but she’s not. She had better shot of working her way up with Kendall and she doesn’t even realize it.

Too much time in the kitchen
Would have been great if Tom had told Shiv to F off

What exactly did Roman say to Kendall that made him get physical?
Posted on 5/28/23 at 9:43 pm to GreatLakesTiger24
I took it he suggested Kendall wasn’t really a Roy. But I could be wrong.

Shiv is so selfish she'd rather be a proxy winner with Tom than her brothers win.
That scene where she wouldn't even embrace Tom's hand tells you all you need to know about her

It was about how Ken’s kids aren’t Logan’s bloodline. That the girl was adopted and the boy was Ravas but not Kens

Rome telling Ken the whole “we’re bullshite, we’re nothing” was absolutely perfect.

I mean out of the three she “won” but she hardly came out on top

I also don’t think this episode’s writing makes any sense.
It didn’t, which is really frustrating.
The last episode ended with kendall establishing himself, then this one opens with shiv/mattson having an insurmountable advantage. How/why did this happen?
Shiv flipping at the literal last second happened why? None of the stuff she said in the conference room was anything didn’t know previously or thought before. fricking herself over to be able to next to Tom was always an option, why would she just now to decide that’s the right move? It also goes completely against everything she’s ever said or done since she’s now subjugating herself to him.
Lastly, the kitchen scene was a complete waste of 5 minutes that could have been used to flesh out so many other things.
This isn’t GOT level bad, but it was still a weak ending to a show that had been going at a very high level, especially this last season.

She’s sleeping with the person on top. That’s Shiv’s ceiling and she accepted it.

Absolutely not.
Tom isn’t her bitch anymore, even though she thinks she can manipulate him. He made that clear when she asked him to stay with her and he said “I don’t know”. There’s a solid chance she doesn’t get shite through him because he doesn’t trust her.
Kendall was going to give her ATN outright. She doesn’t realize it but she just made herself a trophy wife at best. More likely a trophy ex-wife.

Yea I didn’t get this part either, but granted I’ve always thought the politics / business side of the show are always all over the place

Agreed

Also thought kendall was gonna take the elevator up and yeet himself off the building after the failed vote
When they had Roman sign the papers and take the picture I was worried we were going to see Kendall fall past the window.

Shiv hates the idea of one of her brothers running the company. That’s the entire premise of the show
