trying to take for Dustin this season. Seems unnecessary. Other than that and them bringing back goth emo sister from S2

I'm actually glad they did that since it finally means the episode wasn't just a random waste

Not really sure what angle they are trying to take for Dustin this season.

Probably someone angry, pissed off and hurt that someone he looked up to, that saved his life, is being shite on and blamed by the entire town and he can’t do shite about it.

Seems pretty accurate to me.

I finished a season 4 re-watch right before 7pm last night and that version of Dustin is exactly what I expected. I had no problems with his characterization.

This show overall has been good but it has to be the most overrated show in history.

I just don’t understand what took 3.5 years for a final season of average length. Feels like they dragged it out for manipulative reasons

I blame Vince Gilligan and Breaking Bad for starting this bullshite with final seasons.

Just finished.

I'm confused. Did Will use the power of gayness to defeat the demigorgons at the end?

I thought it was enjoyable. I don't know what some of you are complaining about. Yes. It's far from perfect. I hate how the Duffers apparently can't write pre-tech 80's kids. They have to find ways to give them cellphones and trackers and it's just not necessary for the characters to all be able to talk to each other all the time, no matter where they are. They also dipped back into girlbossery a bit, which would be less annoying if it wasn't always at the expense of the dudes. And Linda Hamilton has a giant head.

But none of it is a deal-breaker. I still enjoy the 80's stuff and the story seems to be wrapping up pretty nicely. I doubt I could sit though another season, though.

The whole Nancy coordinating the scout party was comical, like she is some general and expert on military actions.

The girl boss stuff has gone waaayyy over the top this season. The only semi-competent male is Hopper and even he’s presented as a meathead most of the time.

I’ll finish this series because I’m 4.5 seasons in and the kids love it. But if this was season one I wouldn’t have made it past E2.

If people weren't "invested" in this show everyone would be mocking how absolutely terrible it clearly is now.

No show has probably ever suffered so much from a bizarre production history.

We made it about 25 mins in and that was enough. Just didn't seem worth watching anymore. Think I've just lost interest and that 25 mins didn't do much to gain it back.

The school bully scene felt cheesy.

I can't put a pin on it, but I find myself not wanting to root for any of the characters anymore. I take this back, the only character I've rooted for so far is Mr. Wheeler and his 9 iron.

They needed to kill off Hopper or Joyce at the end of ep 4 to lead into the second half of the season. Will becoming Neo was kinda a weak way to divide it up.
Due to the setup of Max and Holly in dreamland - I fully anticipate the finale ending being "it's all a dream" or "It's just the D&D campaign." or "The D&D board from S1 was like Jumanji"
