Just finished episode 1.

Hop is now special forces.
Whole town is locked down by military but there are people still living there???????
A giant metal band aid. (No news reporting this? No media anywhere?)

This train has jumped off the rails and completely exploded.

You forget this is 1987. No internet. Only national news/big newspapers (all on lock down through FBI/CIA/DOD [have been for decades]). This is is the middle of BF Indiana. The official story is a natural phenomenon and quarantine. Thus could be easily sold in 1987.

As for Hopper's skills, he was in Vietnam and while he says he was just a "grunt", I suspect there's more to his story than that.

On Max’s reveal at the end of Episode 3 - did anyone else think she looked like AI or a character from Polar express? I got some uncanny valley vibes.

Seemed like the whole sequence had odd definition/saturation. Holly seemed to look a little different as well.

Doubtful. You don't need the internet to spread word of an ominous, red and black cloud hanging over a town, surrounded by the military and forbidden to the outside public.

I remember the hole in the ozone layer being daily news. This would have been groundbreaking 24 hour TV.

Finished EP3 last night. Season doesn’t seem to be getting a ton of positive vibes here but I’m enjoying it. I thought episode 3 was the best so far. Thought I was going to dislike the Holly story line because of the age jump but it’s pretty good.

It’s monster sci fi so there has to be suspension of belief but it is definitely more this season than any other. Feels a lot less “real.”

Might be crazy but you can almost feel the tension between Millie Bobby Brown and Harbour. The chemistry doesn’t seem there this season.

Nancy being boss bitch now is probably my only big complaint.

With all of them separated looks like they will be fighting on multiple fronts and all of them coming together at the end

I keep hoping they’ll kill Robin. Just make it stop.

No, they hate each other. You're not imagining that.

Honestly it feels this way for everyone for me. I don’t know if all the actors were just done with this project or what but it has a different feel to it. It feels like all the actors have gotten worse and staler as they’ve gotten older (save maybe Harrington and Dustin). Even the adult actors seem to be phoning it in.

I’m most surprised at Finn because of how good he was in earlier seasons and in It.

I’ve only watched the 1st episode so far, but I asked my wife “is it possible they have all become worse actors with age?” while we were watching

MBB was particularly bad the 1st episode

Combination of bad directing and acting, but yes. Every character seems to have gotten worse

Just wrapped up Ep4. The kids are clearly older. Fine. Some of them are pretty bad actors. Particularly MBB; she’s just awful. All that being said; I’ve enjoyed it thus far. Despite some weak elements; the sum of its parts is enjoyable television overall. Excited to see how it plays out.

I've finally decided to watch the show and binged everything.

I dont like the older and fatter eleven...reminds me of Rey from star wars as shes becoming more bitchy and whiney. I miss the innocent, vulnerable, and lovable version from season 1.

Not a fan of vecna ...why does he have to look like a tree corpse ...just let him be portrayed as normal looking Henry.

I did find dipshit derick funny tho.

The quality and enjoyment has decreased each season. Overall I give this show a 6/10. Not sure why its so popular.

Same here. In some scenes she looks and acts like a coked out 30yr old.

Really thought we were going to get the first death of the core group when Mike was rallying the kids to go to radio shack with the fighting going on.

Thought he was going to walk out and get gored by a Demi.
