quote:
telekinetic (force) hero she leaves her friends behind to go to another world (aka dagobah) to seek answers where she meets her mentor (yoda) who explains a little about her past and teaches her to harness her force powers by moving a heavy abject with her mind (ship in swamp) with a twist of the darkside.
Before she completes her training she has a vision of her friends in trouble and leaves in a rush to return to her old world and face her fears in a cave.
Pretty obvious to me
all the while giving us breadcrumbs for season 3. Episode 7 seems to be hated by a lot of people on this board (and other places), but it was actually a well thought out episode.

Mostly because of the X-men rub.

Huh, interesting
The aliens stuff was hit you over the head like ET, the thing, IT, etc. were in season 1
They actually did the exact same shot from the beginning of ET in the backyard

I don’t think it was, it felt like it was “we need to give her something to do”
The entire season not just that episode

She was “Peter Petrellied”.
“Gokued” for the layman

S2 > S1 but just by a hair. It’s a great show and that’s why I think people are split down the middle on this.

I was surprised I really liked this show. Millie is going to be a star.

Only reason I hated episode 7 was because the gang was so fricking lame

You got me. Noticing similarities in facial features absolutely makes me a creeper. I think that you're projecting.

Billy GOAT
I think I remember the producers saying that Billy was going to continue to be a villain on upcoming seasons... they basically said there is no upcoming redemption arc (ala Steve).

it's like unknownknight said. she's too powerful to keep her with the kids. any conflict they face can be resolved by her in .5 seconds. she has to become the the villain at some point.
watch elfen lied, the show ST is based upon. she's going to do something horrible

S2 = Billy, Max, Paul Reiser, Rudy and Radio Shack, MOAR KAREN, Will, Steve Harrington, and Dustin
>
S1 = 11, Dungeons and Dragons, Mike, Lucas, cock blocking Barbara, and Christmas lights

Thank you for that unknown Knight - I'm a child of the 80's so I've been pointing out to my kids - who love the show - all the purposefully cast 80s stars in the show, the references, etc. Totally didn't catch that (Star Wars story line parallel) - nice get!

Reading back through it, I forgot to put Hopper in S2. He and 11 had some great scenes at the cabin. Plus his truck is badass.
