Just started this show. After 3 episodes, I like it over all. The story is good. Owen Wilson is great. Marc Maron is good.

Is the rest of the show so heavy handed with the "Men are Pigs" stuff? It's so on the nose and annoying with the Mom and the Investments guy ( who actually gave her good advice), and the annoying girlfriend of Santi dealing with the douchebags at the golf club.

I can't tell if the show is virtue signaling with the girlfriend's constant woke BS, or if they are setting her up for this big fallout with Santi after he realizes that she is batshit crazy. I'm leaning on the latter because it just seems too obvious.

The best episodes are later in the season, 7 and 8 have been good, 8 is the highest rated of the season so far

I thought the same at first. It gets better. The mom and girlfriend turn out to be pretty cool.

Episode 8 was by far the best episode of the show, so far. Timothy Olyphant is such a dang good actor.

You mean when she asks for advice and the gets mad at the advice and blames the patriarchy? It is pretty heavy handed

Just watched last week’s episode, and IMO this show is settling in pretty well. Last couple have been good.

Again my main gripe is that the episode felt too short. The whole thing was the hustle, and at the end I was surprised that 30 minutes had already passed.

I’m not the biggest Olyphant fan, but he was good in this episode. I wish he had been more prominent in the season.

I have a feeling with the episodes so short it’s gonna feel like the season ends abruptly.

I’m actually really digging this show at this point. I know people were hating on Owen Wilson early on being too “Owen Wilson.” But I think he’s really good in this.

I think it would be a funny gag if they brought in ol dude that was married to Fergie to play Olyphant's twin brother.

When they made that joke in The Office I was thinking it was Duhamel making the guest appearance, and I was thinking the joke seemed kind of lame for The office to say character looked like the actor playing the character. My kid told me it was Olyphant, and I had to look both up again.

Was always a weird complaint to me. You hire Owen Wilson because you want Owen Wilson haha. I havent seen him in much lately anyway.

I think it takes a lot to get her to that point. Theu even had Mariana Trevino looking good the first few episodes

She looked basically the same...except for the skin-tight cocktail dress.

Neither of them do it for me. It takes the glam squad to get them there

Can we talk about the absolute absurdity of Clark pulling the "short straw" game and making Pryce hit that shot with a fricking 3 iron? Seems like Pryce could've easily talked him into a legit closest to the pin contest.

And I guess the point was that he did that because deep down he knows Pryce is better than him. But shite, make him hit it with a 5 iron or something. 3 iron was dumb.

Yes, I was very confused at this. They are trying to prove who's the better golfer and they do a game where luck clearly plays a role in that you don't even get to pick your club? I mean, Marc Maron's character even says "if you pull a putter, you're fricked!" Just beyond stupid. Is this some normal thing in the golf community?

The episode was ok. It seemed a bit much to spend a whole episode on hustling to get an endorsement deal. I figured out that the hustle was a hustle in itself whenever Santi called Zero a "clown" again.

It would've even been more believable if Clark hadn't pulled a PW. I mean, make him hit it with like a 6 iron or something. But him pulling the perfect club and Pryce pulling a 3I is just a little too silly. And I agree with you, if the whole point was who is better, then make it more fair. Although I assume the point was just to embarrass Pryce because Clark knows he isn't a better golfer than Pryce. So he had to tilt it in his own favor.

Yeah, I also assumed it was all the hustle, but I do think there was a little bit of Santi fricking it up though. That's even verified a little at the end when he was like "Did you mean what you said about loving me?" So that part was apparently not rehearsed.

It was nice to see Zero dressed like a normal girl instead of a homeless hobo for a change. Something about her face is sort of off-putting, but at least she looked good in that dress.

Olyphant is a very good story teller and on multiple occasions (Conan shows) he’s told the story of how Josh Duhamel stood in for Olyphant in the family Christmas card with the Olyphant family.

When Tim’s mom got it, she told him something to the effect of you look so handsome. He had to tell her, mom, you know that’s not me, right?

Good stuff. I highly recommend the Conan/Olyphant YouTube rabbit hole. They’re actual RL friends.

That last part.

He didn't know he was better, and secretly knew that Pryce was better.

LOL episode 3, typical apple.

Men are dumb fricking idiots, women know everything, who needs a coach just get your golf lessons from a drunk bartender smoking weed in the cart shop.

Nope, 2/10. Deleted the show. We gotta stop supporting this crap.

I enjoyed the finale, but as I suspected the episode felt way too short and we were left hanging with what feels like an incomplete season.

I did like the reveal of the dad. For whatever reason I wasn't expecting that.

But really didn't like where they left it without seeing if he even wins the tournament or not (which I assume he will).

All in all though, decent little show and I'll likely watch episodes as long as they crank them out.

It feels incomplete because the finale is next week.
