I'm sure this will be funny, hope it's not too political.

It exists to be political.

Im not sure what is so hilarious about the idea that countries would attempt to spy and or create weapons in space. People act like the idea of a Space Force is to fight aliens.

Please just let it be a jumping off point to a space-related sitcom and not some cringe politics-based statement masquerading as comedy.

Pretty sure The Orville has already hit the note this will attempt to hit.

I'm confident it will be a political hit piece that will come off more as angry and spiteful instead of lighthearted and funny.

Other shows you should avoid:
Get Smart
Hogan's Heroes
Gomer Pyle USMC
F Troop
Sgt. Bilko

and...

Carter Country

Me too, but the whole "...or something" part of the teaser means its absolutely going to be anti-Trump in nature.

This is just another workplace for them to find workplace humor. Saying this can't be is like saying a show about political back door dealing can't be funny. Sure one direction a show like that can go is House of Cards, but another take on the same concept is Veep.

It’d be naive to assume it isn’t going to be insanely political given the content.

That doesn’t mean it can’t be funny. One of the best shows HBO cut in recent years was The Brink. And it was absolutely fantastic because it poked political fun.

It'll be the latter.

Steve Carrell seems like one of the nicest people in Hollywood. I was really hoping he wouldn’t get sucked into that. He’s been hanging around with Adam McKay too long.

No? Nowhere in my post did I suggest that. He’s a likable guy...being a Hollywood political shill is a really unlikable trait
