It really is the GOAT show. Has aged fairly well. Tony and the dream where his dick comes off and a seagull steals it.

I finished my third rewatch a few months ago. I just can't get enough of that incredible group of characters. Amazing character development and writing.

HBO ran the whole series last week. I caught a few episodes from each season. Laughed my arse off. I forgot how funny this show is. Uncle June running a poker scam on the retards

Also I watched it for the first time in college and just after. I wasn't really in tune to the thematic qualities and found the shrink scenes boring. Now it's the complete opposite and those add so much.

I started earlier this week and am on college episode now.

Greatest series of all time.

ETA: this is my 4th time (at least for the first 3 seasons) rewatching as well.

Started my first rewatch a couple of weeks ago.

I'm in the middle of Season 2 and the thing that stands out to me is that Tony has been breaking Richie Aprile's balls non-stop since he got out of prison. Some of it warranted for what he did to Beansie but most of it not warranted at all.

He didn't go after Richie....all of it was Richie doing things he shouldn't be doing. Tony was content to leave him alone if he toed the line....but Richie never did.

True. Richie didn't necessarily help himself but even in the most civil meetings between the two of them Tony just kept cracking on him. All the way to making jokes about hiding the silverware when Richie came over to his house.

Just started my re-watch with episode #1 last night. I bought The Sopranos Sessions as well to go along with it.

Richie was selling coke on Tony’s garbage routes and battered Beansie to a pulp. He had a clear disregard for Tony’s authority from day 1. Kind of same thing with Feech LaManna in season 5

Brendan’s death is pretty satisfying. Such a little prick.

The guys who went away back when Tony was just his dad's kid couldn't accept that Tony was boss. At least among the New Jersey family. Even Tony Blundetto had trouble adjusting. "Boy are you fat!"

Greatest show of all time, imo. It really should be lauded for how funny it was. Any great drama doubles as a dark comedy.

Tony: "This says with pulp. I like it when it says 'some pulp'"

Carmela: Throws cordless phone at Tony
