I have read through a few pages and would agree about liking the characters and I also thing Driver did a good job expressing the raw feeling and undisciplined character of an untrained force user.
I would also note people have asked about the republic not having a military but there is a line after the core world is destroyed, I think it was 3PO that said their chances were far less now without the republic fleet, or something to that effect.
Also when I read the book that delved into Plagueis and Palpatine the description from the book and the image of Supreme Leader from the movie is uncanny to me.
As far as Fin goes, his character is a jumbled mess, but it's a jumbled mess on purpose. He makes a moral decision and Ren feels his presence and confliction on Jaku. He is not a clone or a drone but a regular human taken from his family at an early age and trained to do nothing but be a stormtrooper. clearly he is force sensitive which I think plays a part in his unwillingness as he feels the pain of what is going on.
As far as his transformation, his only loyalty really was to Poe and Rey. After they get to Starkiller base he even tells Han he is only there for her and that is a direct connect to his feelings for her which he has already explained in the bar scene.

It was ok, I enjoyed it but just glad JJ Abrams didn't frick it up royally.
But what the frick was up with every time Finn was on camera it was zoomed in on him.
Daniel Craig playing one of the storm troopers

I think Simon Peg was also a stormtrooper

For anyone familiar with Radiohead, I saw Nigel Goodrich in the credits as one of the stormtroopers, I believe. Is that him or just a coincidental name?
ETA It's him.

I read that he voiced that alien junk dealer that gave Rey food.
Craig was the trooper that Rey force controlled into letting her go and leaving his gun.

What exactly do you believe he is doing during the year-18 months between Bespin and Jabba's Palace?
Searching for Han?

I thought Driver was great. It's a shame that he had to start his career on Girls though, having to be Jabba's (Lena Dunham's) boyfriend.

I still wanna know what Ren is. Kylo was "the last knight of Ren" so there were knights of Ren
Maybe he or someone turned a bunch of jedis to these knights destroyed a bunch of shite and then Luke had to kill them all except Ben/kylo and that's why he left.
Idk I just want some back story on the Knights of Ren

So what would you have done to make the movie different? I'll shut up and listen.

Because most of us are just thankful that we finally got a movie that had that same Star Wars "feel" to it, something that the last trilogy severely lacked despite being "original".

Because I've already seen that movie. And it was better than this one.

four planets: Jakku, Starkiller base, Takadona (Maz's planet which will probably never be revisited in this trilogy) and the unnamed Resistance base.
Isn't it 5? The planet with the old Jedi temple that Rey found Luke on.
