Han is one of my favorite characters of all time. I wanted him to go out in a blaze of glory on one last wild ride in Falcon taking out the death planet

This is no longer Han's story though. It greatly benefits Kylo as a character, and Han comes full circle trying to save his son. The fact that Han didn't go out shooting and begging his son to come with him is a poignant, brutal, and beautiful death for the character. I don't think he necessarily needed to go down being a hard arse.

Ok, genius, tell me where the movie would benefit with having a male protagonist? It's entirely stale with Star Wars, would make it repetitive,

The whole movie was repetitive. The whole son must kill his father thing. Death planet that Han places charges in. Leia in a secret command center with alien admirals and a ragtag group of rebels. It was basically a remake.

If Kylo ends up being good in the end I will throw shite. For once I would love for an evil character to stay evil. But it's too good to be true

3. How was Fin immediately so great with the light saber?

He could have been trained with that shock saber thing that that trooper used against him. He was also raging out against a weakened Ren who didn't even bother to use the Force against him and he still wound up getting his arse kicked. He managed to survive for about 45 seconds, so I'm not sure I'd call that being immediately great with the saber.

What are the theories on who Rey is related to?

Most of us are fairly convinced she is Luke's bastard daughter.

I think Rey is a Skywalker and has the up-side of the Schwarz while Kylo has the down side, Snoke even knew this that's why he wants to train her. I wonder where the rest of the Knights of Ren where/

And what I'm saying is a change. So in another words a benefit to the movie. Glad you've finally come to that conclusion as well.

Honestly, I will be upset if he is "redeemed" Killing Han Solo is pretty high up on the list of irredeemable acts.

Even the trooper with the lesser weapon was about to kill him had the mighty bowcaster not came to his rescue.

Before seeing the movie I thought she'd be Han & Leia's...but being Luke's daughter is an interesting twist.

It was never Han's story. The story is about the Jedi and good and evil and all that. Han was just a smuggler who had a cool ship. Supporting role. It's not my fault he stole the show.

Meh, everyone saw that coming from a mile away.

It was luke calling Rey through anakin's Saber. That's why I am going with the daughter theory. My back up is that she is ben's twin. They separated them when they decided to train Ben just in case he had "too much Vader in him". Also, r2 seemed to be acting under Luke's orders. In the vision he was seen talking to r2.

Of course we did. Harrison has always very vocally despised Return of the Jedi and what they did to his character and had to be paid 10 times his weight in gold to be in the movie. Now when this comes out, Harrison can't shut up about how great it is. It was abundantly clear the death he always wanted for his character was coming, and it was great. He was the Obi Wan of the film.

I think it makes Han even a better character overall. He's always had a cavalier spirit but is tugged towards being involved in higher matters. Han Solo in this movie came full circle. When he talks about Jedi, the Force, it's all real, he's the antithesis of his introduction in ANH. In that, truly caring about his son and putting his life on the line to bring his son back is epic Han Solo. It was a sad but satisfying way for him to go out. IMO.

The black dude was lame and Rey is just eye candy. I'm not buy that a 90 lb girl is saving the universe.
I had to go back and see what the uproar was about from you.

The quote above is laughable. The "black dude" was awesome and "eye candy" was a showstopper. Maybe one day you'll grow up and have a daughter. I'm sure you'll tell her the pole is her goal.

I keep seeing it brought up that Kylo Ren will be back in the next one.

How do you figure this? Really asking, not being a jerk.

He was on that planet/weapon thing when it blew up, right?

Snoke told Hux to bring Kylo to him to begin his actual training. If I had to guess what Episode VIII will entail, it will be mostly Rey training with Luke and Kylo training with Snoke to where we learn a lot more about the Force, and their arcs will intersect at the end.

And JJ is smart enough not to kill the villain like Lucas did, and it's highly implied that he and Rey have a shared destiny.

Jabba. Leia spent a lot of time chained to his throne and a girl gets lonely.

I saw that. So you think he made it off the planet somehow? Again, not trying to stir up stuff.

I can't stop thinking about this movie. I was so great.

Wait, was Hux the guy that got in the little escape pod or whatever? When he was saying the planet is imploding?
