Of course I didn't expect her to have any skills. And I don't expect KR to jump around like Yoda. In fact, Yoda is the only character in the movies that I remember jumping around like Yoda.I just figured he'd be a little more polished than my 6yr old with his foam Thor sword.

I feel this needed attention

Any guesses on what Han did to Kylo to make him so mad? The only thing I can think of is he felt like his parents abandoned him by essentially sending him off to boarding school. That or he was too busy being a pirate and was an absentee father.

Oh, Kylo...I didn't pay attention to his name. I thought it was Ben.

Kylo Ren's given name is Ben Solo.

Will Chewie forgive Kylo if Leia makes him or will he forever hold a grudge even after he turns from the dark side? Han wouldn't want his buddy to kill his boy.

He wasn't mad at Han - he felt that by killing him, he could extinguish the inner turmoil that he had been experiencing and become stronger in the dark side. To Kylo, killing Han was a necessary maneuver in making himself stronger and liberating himself from his own ambivalence.

All of which failed.

The only things I didn't care for were the saber duel with the Stormtrooper, Finn overdoing the "what does this face mean?", and the stupid monsters in the space freighter. That did not feel like a Star Wars scene to me.

Dude it was straight out of empire. Man people are grasping for shite to complain about. This movie was awesome and reignited the star wars awesomeness. Can't we all enjoy it?

Really? I thought it was perfectly done. Han being the father figure and trying to selflessly look out for someone else. It perfectly wrapped up his story arc.

The monsters in the scene in The Force Awakens look like shite from some Japanese anime. I didn't like the scenes on that freighter at all. They felt like they were tacked in from some different movie.

Weren't the dudes from the Raid supposed to be in this? Or are they in the sequel?

1. He was severely wounded.
2. He had just fought Finn.
3. He may still be a padawan.

I think it makes sense that the prequel jedis were badass lightsaber duelsmen. They were trained from a young age to use the force by experienced Jedi that had the benifit of thousands of years of Jedi tradition. Luke got a two week crash course from Yoda in the swamp and that girl had no training at all in the latest movie.

Yeah, they're cartoon characters though. 80 strikes in 30 seconds. No one's mind could keep up with that, whether you be the combatant or the audience. It is garbage.

Plus we don't know how long Luke actually was there with Yoda. It's implied to be months. Kylo I think was very roughly trained and has little understanding of the Force itself. He just knows how to utilize it to lash out and extort others, and that's really it. He's still an amateur in the Force.

Exactly he hasn't finished training

4. Rey is most likely Luke's daughter and she is probably the most powerful force user ever.

Because he's an amateur and he was also injured. It is very much emphasized in the movie that he has not been properly trained. He has raw power for sure, but he has no idea how to really use it. The lightsaber is proof enough of this, and the fact that he can't construct a proper one drives him crazy. He knows he is weak deep down, and it makes it good and brings the drama. Hell of a lot more than I can say for Darth Maul, Count Dooku, and General Grievous.

I know TFA was to reestablish the franchise but I would have liked to know a little more about the new Republic the Alliance set up and how the First Order came together.

Be careful what you ask for. We asked questions like this before and we got Episode I-III.
