I still don't get the impression Ren knew her. He seemed genuinely surprised that she had force abilities. If he knew her, that wouldn't have been the case.
She very well could have been trained early on, but not near enough to definitively show that.

The guy in the tomb that Luke is guarding is Snoke. As we have seen, once a person that is strong with the force dies, they can communicate with the living. Snoke needs Kylo Ren to do the physical work of freeing his body. Snoke also knows it would take someone as strong with the force as a Skywalker to defeat Luke, so it has to be an offspring of the Skywalkers.
And since Plageuis is the only person that has been mentioned in the series that is able to defeat death, it will be revealed that Snoke is Darth Plageuis
As far as his appearance goes, remember when Anakin appeared to Luke, he in no way looked like the man that Luke saw dying. And since Luke had never seen Anakin, that means that Vader could project a vision of how he wanted to be seen. So can Snoke

That doesn't work at all
The map led Rey to Luke. Ren didn't have that map, but they knew where Snoke was, as he told Ren to bring Rey to him. So, they would have known where Luke was if they knew where Snoke was.

uh, how would Snoke know where Luke had taken his body?
Once Anakin reveled to Luke what Plageuis was capable of. Luke would have moved the body, nd hidden his daughter Rey. Remember Vader didn't even know he had children because of the strength of Yoda with the force
Luke is probably as strong as Plageuis with the force, and would have easily resisted his presence

Have you seen 7?
She senses the death of Han Solo and Kylo Rens turn to total dark side.

Where would Snoke think his body is then? How could Ren train with him and be able to meet him somewhere if he couldn't track his body? He is in a tangible place at some point leading up to this movie, not to mention other characters know about him. As far as we have been able to tell, the force spirits were only able to present themselves to force sensitive people. How would all these people know of Snoke then?

I mean maybe, but that is still a stretch. Luke was as strong as Palpatine in the force, what makes you think he is as strong as Plageuis?

I 100% have it figured out!
Just watched the last scene like 5 times on bootleg.
So much is said by their reactions to seeing each other.
Luke was Rey's father. But she did not know him as Luke Skywalker or as a Jedi.
He probably was trying to live a normal life after empire was gone going by a different name.
Rey learns of the legend of Luke Skywalker just like everyone, but doesn't have a face to match that name and had no clue her dad was him.
He had her, and when she was 4-5 he left her on Jakku secretly safe bc he sensed her force, and went to start training Jedi. Probably never wanted her to enter the Jedi life so he left her to protect her. Leaves her on a safe planet like he was left as a child.
The Kylo ren crap happened and he's been laying low.
She's calmly walking up the mountain, then
When she sees him, the moment he turns and shows his face, she tears up. Obviously she knows his face. Longing for love and heartbroken and happy simaltaneousky. She at that moment realizes her father that abandoned her is in fact the legendary Luke Skywalker. She's been waiting for someone to return for her
It's obvious he's the face she knew and was waiting for.
When he realizes she's the one that is there, it's obvious he knows her, And the moment she pulls out the light saber, he also knows she now knows he is Luke Slywalker Jedi legend. Probably senses force in her too and that she's entered the life he hoped she would never have to be a part of. It's a powerful scene with no words spoken.
1000$ Says I'm correct

But how are they legends? Through what believable mechanism is that info disseminated throughout a freaking galaxy in a timely fashion?
Ships in this universe can move through hyperspace from system to system throughout the galaxy.
Planets in these systems are populated by beings that communicate. Consider all the cantinas and bars we constantly see throught the SW universe.
PEOPLE TALK. Ships move from system to system (travel, trade, smuggling, etc.) and people talk some more.

And word of mouth is largely inaccurate. After a few iterations, the story changes and eventually, people become skeptical about what actually happened. That's how Luke and the Force became legends or myths.

Honestly, I haven't seen anyone bring up the single biggest mcguffin in the whole movie. The Falcon makes it inside the shield at lightspeed, without driving right through the surface.
Hyperspace =/= light speed
Hyperspace is a short cut. Light speed is a velocity.
Ever notice how lots of ships look like they're traveling pretty slow as they exit hyperspace? The standard science fiction convention is that you exit hyperspace at the same speed you enter it. Though the visual effects make it LOOK like entering hyperspace is "speeding up", they actually aren't doing that at all.
Back in the early 1980's they made a Dune movie and those ships traveled by "folding" space (which always sounded to me like a form of hyperspace travel). In those movies, when the Navigators "folded" space, the ships just disappeared from where they were at and appeared at their destination. No movement, no velocity.
Hyperspace is probably a lot like that, its just that it doesn't seem like space is "folded" directly point-to-point, its more of a tunnel/shortcut/worm hole.
So, yeah, if Han wasn't busting arse velocity-wise entering hyperspace, then if he times his jump right (i.e. inside the shield) and knows what to expect (he does because he knows exactly what he's in for), then disbelief doesn't have to suspended near as much.

I wouldn't call jakku a safe planet and why would he leave his daughter all by herself?
Kylo Ren makes the only sense as to who left her out of the characters we know.

Besides the fact that he was like 15 when she was left on Jakku. She cries for her father when the ship leaves.

Doesn't she cry come back? She just says she is waiting for her "family" which is pretty vague. It doesn't exactly seem like Rey is even sure who the heck she is waiting for. Maz then tells her "you know who left you there isn't coming back but someone still coild"
That line right there tells me it wasn't Luke and whoever left her there left her there without good intentions.
Exactly. It makes sense for a 15/16 year old to drop her off there after killing the other jedi apprentices. He couldn't kill his sister or cousin and doesn't take her to snoke in fear snoke who choose her over him. So he drops her off on a junk yard planet.
I just can't get past seeing a parent leave their child on a junkyard with the alien played by Simon Pegg
