Question I haven't seen definitively answered: how many uncredited cameos are in this? I've since learned Daniel Craig (James Bond) is a storm trooper, who is JB 007

Who else did something like this, just to be in the film?

Thats a pretty solid explanation.

I rewatched a new hope tonight.

There is a point that the force involves a lot of faith. She seems to jump right into it. Luke really holds himself up.

While Hamill has been a business success, his co-star Harrison Ford (who was just a journeyman actor, cast at the last minute) became one of the biggest stars of all time. And Star Wars was really supposed to be Luke's story, so you'd say Hamill was the one positioned to have a huge career.

It doesn't really help that he jacked up his face.

I just finished the book. It was terribly written but provided some additional dialogue and scenes as well as the thoughts of the characters during key moments. I am now even more certain Rey is Luke's daughter.

Ren felt something when he first encountered Rey near the bar. Then he was interrogating her in that cell, he came across a barrier in her mind that repelled when he tried to look into her past, which would lend credence to the theory that Luke mind-wiped her with the force.

But the real kicker was when Rey force pulls the lightsaber to her over Ren. Ren says, "It is you!" It doesn't explain what he means, but it is clear to me he knew Luke had a daughter and it is confirmed now that Rey is she. That's one explanation for why he went kind of nuts when originally told a girl was helping Finn and BB-8. He force-pulled the trooper to him and said, "What girl?!"

Thought Serkis also made a statement about him being huge, and it was hard to play because of that.

He was huge. In the hologram. Which is the only way Serkis played him.

Hopefully I'm not the only one who thinks if Snoke is really that big, it would be retarded. He looked like one of those ridiculous giants from that Jack and the Giant Slayer movie with Obi Wan and Tony from Skins.

I think it will come out to be true that Rey is at least Ben's sister, most likely younger sister that showed extreme strength in the force at a very young age and had to be hidden away for the making of a better story.

The skywalkers are such shite parents. "Hey our kid has the force. Let's just send them to some ja-wa planet."

The stories/rumors of all the Jedi would be a lot more fresh on people's mind. In a new hope it seemed to be much more suppressed to myth.

Terrible due to unoriginal themes

Father son
Droid with critical data
Reluctant heros
Darth v2.0
Yoda v2.0
Death Star v2.0 with similar small vulnerability
Etc etc

So much they could have done to expand original ideas but were VERY lazy.

And now everything makes sense. Would've been really cool if that had happened in the movie.

He never said, "It is you!" In the movie. And you had no idea of his thoughts as outlined in the book.

Most people who watched the movie came to this conclusion though. It didn't need to be outright said.

Most people did not come to the conclusion that Ren knew Luke had a daughter and then finally confirmed it in that moment. You are just trying to be argumentative for some reason. Rough night?

She had heard of the force and what was possible through it. She just never thought she could use it.

Luke had never heard of it and first had to be convinced of its authenticity.

Luke had a better life when you compare each of their life in jawa land.

Then combine that with the fake she was tossed into the shite a bit quicker.

I'm sure this was brought up in this thread, but did anyone else catch when Ren was reading Rey's mind that he said you see an Island? Is it possible she can see the future?

Yeap.

It's one thing to be told what it's like, and to go in search of it.

It's entirely another to be shown what it feels like, right after being told it calls to you, and having the experience with the lightsaber.

She got a massive jumpstart to her force batteries.

I paid pretty heavy attention to the scene, and missed that.

Welp, time to head to Kodi and rewatch it.
