This doesn't make much sense. So, by your logic, if they had killed off Han in ROTJ, all star wars expanded universe writers would've thrown up their hands and said "Well, Han's dead so that's that. Nothing else to say. Ever."

They just write a future without Han.

I only hope they don't over do the CGI. Part of the charm of 4-6 were the camera tricks and special effects they often had to invent for the film.

In the new films they did often create beautiful landscapes, but much of the movie looked like actors in front of a green screen.

I think if they can match the visuals of the latest Star Trek then I will be pleased.

Spielberg, Tarantino And Zack Snyder All Say No To Star Wars

Good, because all 3 are not the right directors for this project.

Never. For some reason, this will never sink in.

Within this page, or the next, someone will say they hope that Thrawn is the villain.

Ford wanted Han to die in Empire, not ROTJ. He didn't want to do a third. He changed his mind when he saw how effective Empire was.

If he had died, Leia would have never become Luke's sister. So the romance in ROTJ would have been between them.

Honestly, out of all 6 films, the very worst idea they came up with is Luke and Leia being twins.

Depends on how you look at it. If he didn't do that, we'd have SW fans calling themselves "Team Han" and "Team Luke".

Imagine how much more annoying we would all be.

Ehh, pretty much every great saga and story has love triangles in it. I think you're thinking of the Twilight fanbase too much. That didn't really happen so much with Harry Potter for instance.

Star Wars IV question

why did Leia send O-B-wan to Alderan, the rebel base wasn't on Alderan.

I guess because her father was there, and she didn't want to risk giving away the location of the Rebel's fortress in case R2 was caught.

Carrie Fisher just confirmed that she'll be in Episode 7. Mark Hamill must be a lock.

There is nothing wrong with lots of GOOD CGI.

I'm completely against Leia's conclusion. Mark Hamill and the droids should be the only ones to return.

There is when it looks like they are standing in front of a green screen the whole time. That was my major qualm with most of the prequels. It often didn't look believable.

They should only be in it as a cameo. Neither should be playing Luke or Leia. Same goes for Ford.

I'm more or less fine with Luke's inclusion, since he could pass the torch very easily. I'd advance the plot say 70 or so years and just put some makeup on Mark Hamill to make him look older. His role should be at most what Leonard Nemoy was in the Star Trek reboot.

I doubt it will be too much more than that. I would imagine they are just there as cameos or part of a plot devise. At worst, Hamil will have a scaled down version of Obi-Wan's role in the original trilogy.

100% disagree. If they are going to be in the movie then it better be as Luke, Leia and Han. It would be like Nimoy being in a Star Trek film and not playing Spock.
