This is essentially what happened to her in the EU. She marries Han, gets pregnant with the twins, and takes her role in establishing the government of the New Republic despite the pleas of Luke.
I have zero issue with female Jedi. Mara Jade is an awesome character, and Leia is pretty badass. Jania Solo is one of my favorite EU characters.
What I do have issue with is making Leia, who stood as a young woman toe to toe with the two most powerful men in the galaxy and told them to kiss her arse, into a character that would slap Poe for being daring. The Leia in TLJ would never have attacked the Death Star at Yavin or the second one at Endor, which was a complete Won or Go Home scenario using the entire Fleet.

This is now confirmed through the Mandalorian. The baby Yoda attempted to heal the Mandalorian in the 2nd episode during the fire at night and he put it back in its carriage.
Eventually the baby Yoda will heal people thus setting the stage for MaRey Sue to heal people too in Ep. ix.

Because the previous 2 movies either killed or severely neutered any villain.

So apparently everyone now has healing powers and can transfer "life force" from one being to another.
- Rey heals the wound of the sand snake, and then mortally stabs Kylo with a lightsaber, only to feel guilty and heal him completely.
- The Emperor sucks life force out of Kylo and Rey to bring himself fully back to life.
- After being hit with lightning and sent off a cliff, Kylo comes back to find Rey on the brink of death. So he transfers his life force to her to save her only to kill himself in the process.
All of this sounds positively ridiculous.

They're just borrowing from DragonBall Z now.
Might as well retcon Dende as Yoda's kid and have Goku show up and kill Palpatine.
Just put a throwaway line about how Yoda is from Namek and then have the DragonBalls show up and Rey find them to wish everyone back to life.

He's had his arse kicked the entire trilogy and now in the final act he dies three times.
- Fatally stabbed by Rey, but she heals him.
- Gets pelted with lightning and sent off a cliff.
- Climbs back up the cliff and transfers his "life energy" to Rey, then dies.
It's laughable.

It makes a lot more sense when you realize that the whole story since 1977 has obviously been about the greatest family of Force users in history...the Palpatines.
