As dangerous as they were, I want a two hour plus on the Dominion War. That made the Klingon War look like a school yard fight.

I'd give Season 1 a 9/10 and Season 2 a 7/10. I thought Season 1 followed a better storyline arc while Season 2 was a bit more haphazard and focused too much on relationship drama (Laan/Kirk, Spock/Chapel, Pike/Batel). Hoping Season 3, whenever it comes out, is more like Season 1.

Them actually checking out some Strange New Worlds would be nice.

Just saw this article about season 3 and thought I would pass it along. Apparently Johnathan Frakes is directing the episodes this season and claims one in particular is the "best episode of television he's ever done". Of course I wouldn't expect him to say that the episode sucks so we'll see.
I am looking forward to the new season when it finally comes out, no release date has been set yet

I prefer a 10 hour mini series BoB style.

For my tastes and preferences, SNW is peak Star Trek. I was just thinking yesterday if we were ever going to get a season 3 and was going to look it up.
I may need to do a rewatch here soon.

Wikipedia says season 3 will air sometime in 2025 so no rush on the rewatch.
Is it just me, or is the lengthy wait between 10 episode seasons for -any- show way too long. These actors, writers, producers, etc. would fall over and die if they had to grind out 30+ season episodes like they did in the '60s and '70s.
IIRC, Bonanza's early seasons were 36 episodes long.

Bump time.
I finished season two last week and started the first couple of episodes of season 3. (Nurse Chapel can die in a fire)
I'm loving this series so far. The one with the Lower Decks visit was a freaking masterpiece. Without being obvious, they gave us all a glimpse of what Trekkies would look like if they could somehow be on Enterprise. They gave the viewers fan service and the comedy gold of what it meant to be a fan of Star Trek. Just a masterful homage to the entire series with that one episode.
I noticed the musical one was the lowest rated on IMDB. I thought the premise was ridiculous, but I loved the music. The songs were really catchy (frick Nurse Chapel) and I was rolling when the Klingons showed up like 80's dancers on a music video.
I remember TNG having some "slower" episodes that I think are missing a little from this series. Although it's only ten episodes, so I get it.
Once again, all the "woke" arguments throughout this thread are befuddling me.
