What was the biggest Ahole move you think so far? No idea the names and forgot their numbers but that white dude who refused to eliminate himself after getting beat in Marbles to that black girl was the biggest bitch move so far.

He wanted to do a game of skill, refused to do a game of chance that she proposed, lost to her and still wouldn’t accept defeat and then kept crying it wasn’t fair eliminating both of them. Cost her her fair shot at 4.5M

That was 065 and 399 that I was laughing at earlier.

I would argue he did not lose to her, they were simply tied at 1 to 1. If they hadn't started so late they would likely have just kept throwing either another full set of marbles or agreed on sudden death rules. There was no rule set up to deal with a tie and her proposal that she won because she was the first to score is not only retroactive (although he could have relented) but it is rare in games/contests outside of sudden death overtimes. If a football game ends the 4th quarter in a 7-7 tie the team that scored in the first quarter doesn't win because the other team didn't score until the fourth.

I can't go along with the idea it was clear she won but I would have probably accepted the fact she scored first since there was no time to continue playing and the fact I would have agreed to the first score being used to decide a tie if it had been mentioned beforehand especially if I went first like he did.

Ultimately, I liked the first 9 episodes a LOT more than I expected. This could all go to shite in episode 10 depending on how they implement the Squid Game. I wonder if one of the three will be killed off in the dorm before the start.

My favorite player. someone also mentioned earlier, was the older doctor Rick AKA 232. I also thought he might have been a plant like in the "real" Squid Game.

278 not agreeing to the bridge was a hypocrite during the dice game.
“I don’t agree with this plan (bridge) because I could lose to we all choose ourself in the dice game and leave it to chance (in regards to 287 picking her)

He was relentlessly badmouthing her saying she was being unfair and not compromising on anything while being whiny as hell and the one unable to compromise on anything. Shes the one that agreed to do a throw game while she was awkwardly positioned at an angle further away and still took the lead on him. I’d say she had every tiebreaker out there. His choice of game, he threw first, threw last, scored last, etc.

Definitely wasn’t a man that’s for sure.

I'm halfway through the first episode and not sure I can watch this much longer. Season 1 was great, but it looks like they ruined season 2. This seems more like Big Brother, only worse (if you can imagine that) and with stupid fake deaths when you get eliminated.

Upvote if you agree this season of Squid Games sucks compared to Season 1 and you're going to either not watch it or not past the first episode.

Downvote if you don't think this season of Squid Games sucks, and perhaps you will watch all of the episodes.

This is so unbelievable it has to be a troll. A great one too.

I missed this thread the first time around. But yeah that trailer looks horrible. Nobody cares about a challenge type game show based on SG. We just want S2. What a cheap ripoff.

Nah man, it's very entertaining.

The fact that all the remaining players didn't single out 278 for elimination after the glass bridge incident didn't even seem real to me. I felt like I was taking crazy pills.

Yeah screw that chick, I would have kept bringing up Trey/301 who she absolutely eliminated. I’m for Mai/287 and would’ve done the same as here (would’ve guessed who put the box on my desk wrong though)

I would think so too, but there are people all over who legitimately think this is season 2.

I would guess one dies at the final 3 formal dinner like on the first season.

067 didn't die at the dinner, she was injured with the glass prior to the dinner but 067, 456, and 218 all went back to the dorm with the knives the guards left them after dinner. When 456 left to get help because 067 was bleeding out from the glass cut into her gut 218 slit her throat. The guards kept 218 and 456 from going at it after that because they needed 2 players for the Squid Game.

I’ll finish out this season just because I’m invested, but I haven’t like the back half.

I haven’t liked that it’s basically turned into big brother lite with such heave reliance on alliances. Not a fan of the girls deciding to align five minutes before a test where, it coincidentally allows all 9 of them to move on. Suspect as hell and everything I don’t like about Big Brother.

Yeah the lack of reaction to her being a complete pile of shite over and over again is strange.

Damn, most of the players are extremely soft and emotional. They put too much focus on just a few players (like mom/son). I thought the gganbu gang was cheesy. Disproportionate number of players are LGBTQ+. So many whiners.

I hope Mai wins instead of the gay guys.

Alliances are part and parcel of reality contests. It was a huge part of Squid Game. Even Physical: 100 (probably the most performance-based game show I have seen) had significant elements of alliances present.

BTW there was a lot more than 5 minutes when the girls decided to band together. It was almost certainly several hours in the making. There was a big revolt against TJ (182) going on during that time and multiple alliances formed and solidified against him and his alliance. The girls alliance formed because a lot of the non-sex based alliances the women were a part of had been broken up. Putting together an alliance quickly often requires finding a common thread between otherwise unconnected players. There were alliances formed earlier that were based around strong men. I don't see anything nefarious in the alliance just two people using birds of a feather to their advantage when they were at a disadvantage. Different sorts of demographics have been used to pick "teams" forever. If TJ hadn't been so annoying with the "coach-speak" the girls alliance may have never formed.

Got dang, when was it decided that Mai was the “magic Asian friend” that they must all defer to? The glass bridge was uncomfortable to watch with some players begging their choices be made by a normal woman who neither asked nor wanted to be given that responsibility. I liked TJ; RIP.

I haven’t watched beyond the “secret gift” episode, so I’ll refrain for commenting beyond that.

After getting caught up on the latest episode, I’m convinced 278 is a relative of a producer and they were all told not to say anything bad about her

How many times did they all go out of their way to say she’s a “good person.” It was like ten times.

I'm thinking that the survivors were "suggested" to repeat certain themes to keep folks engaged in the individual characters. I mean, it's clear what a selfish person she was during the glass bridge game. Her civil rights employment background combined with her ghetto style cussing were big turn offs.

In what was likely her only shot in life at being a millionaire, I’m ok with 278 being selfish.

That being said if I were 301, I wouldn’t have taken another jump until someone else took the lead. I would have politely sat my happy arse down on the glass and let the clock tick. Someone from the back was going to get antsy and take the lead.
