Like others have said, why end season 2 the way they did. It leaves much to be desired and we have to wait a year for it.
Because season 3 wraps up the show entirely and there isn’t as big of delay as last time. Not even a full year til season 3 release and the shows conclusion.

Had a thought whilst showering this AM. When the last vote went 50/50, was the plan then or thenabouts not to overtake the guards and rush the control room to stop the games? Or only when the vote failed, and they had to have a night to rest on a revote, was this decided?
It doesn't make much sense because Gi-Hun wanted to end the games, but it seemed that it wasn't progressing towards any action to make that happen while just waiting for a 51/49 X to O vote and was only put into motion after that vote failed.

Just saw the guy that plays Thanos is actually a SK rapper in real life.
Also, my prediction earlier of S1 001 being the father of S2 001 is gaining steam out there.
In S1 001 says "youre like my son, can't have dairy" and in S2 001 says "I can't have that" when offered milk.
A completely out of the way reference back if not tied together.

This season was way more predictable . Who didn't see him being his son or the boat captain working for them.

At the end of the last episode, didn't it say the next season was airing Jan 2025? Thought I remembered that?

I think it just said 2025

I'm ready for season 3. Love this show.

The guard who locked eyes with the front man in the green uniform in the last episode, he looks identical to the guy on the outside who played the cop who was trying to find the island. They related?
I forgot, the front man is the brother of that cop right?

Summer or Fall 2025 is the projected date range from the show runners.

lot of hate on this season, but i thought it was pretty damn good. obviously the cliff hanger endings mid-season are bullshite, but removing that from the equation....
things that need to happen to create a satisfying conclusion for me:
1) how did the boat captain get involved/whats his role/motive?
2) the brothers unite again and really anything happens with them, but at least something
3) reveal of this season's player 001 to player 456
4) connection between season 1 player 001 and season 2 player 001?
5) future of squid games/future of player 456
those all seem really obvious that they will address, but ive seen too many shows where they dont tie up the obvious shite.

Yea outside of the trans thing, I really enjoyed this season. Needing the money for a transition is clearly Netflix, I just fast forwarded after she started her spill on why she needs the money. Also the trans being special forces was just laughable. But Netflix was going to make sure the trans could do no wrong and was a badass.
I actually didn't mind the cliffhanger seeing as the new season is coming in less than a year. It's not the first show to end on a cliffhanger.
One thing I was confused on was the count of the players after the bathroom fight. After that fight it ended up being 48/47 in favor of team X. But prior to that they had the night fight and it seemed like quite a few people, especially team O. They were "sacrificing" certain people for their plan. So it was 50/50 before that, then you had the night fight and the bathroom fight and only 2 of team X died? Unless I'm just missing something or have the count wrong.
Actually really liked the front man being involved angle. Him being involved made for a nice angle to the story. What I was thinking was going to probably be an issue with this season was the actual story, not the games. But the story was probably a little better this go around.
The merry go round game was probably the best imo.
After the credits rolled it showed a brief clip and it looks like there was a boy doll similar to the girl doll in red light green light.

Might be misremembering but I think the sequence of events was:
-Tie vote 50-50
-Bathroom Fight 48-47
-Night Fight- the ones that wanted to keep going had to do something to change the numbers in their favor so they attacked
-guards come in to break up the night fight, guards get attacked and the insurrection begins
I don’t remember them giving the total head count after the night fight and insurrection.

O ok yea I just had the order wrong. You're right, there's not an updated count posted.
Looks like the ratings are down a bit for S2, which is to be expected, with the biggest complaint being it only having seven episodes/non complete ending.

I feel like this is done. He knows that 001 was the frontman based on the voice.

I don't think there really is one. Season 1 '001' was the founder of the games. Season 2 '001' was "just" The Frontman from seasons 1/2.

Agree... Saw that one coming. The question is, why did the captain save him, I'm guessing frontman told him he was his brother and to keep him alive.
Maybe he is their dad?
Also, I"m guessing that other reveals will be the police chief/captain also are involved.
